So, I wanted to write a oneshot, cause I didn't get any new reviews for Love Story yet, so I'm waiting for those before that gets updated, and last I looked one more review for you're Never Walk Alone sequel! But anyways, on with my new oneshot. Idea from Secondhand Serenade's I Hate This Song. It's sad sorry about that.
You know that I hate this song
Because it was written for you
Riley moved his fingers across his piano slowly trying to play the sweet song he had written for her. However every time he started the sweet melody he had written, his fingers froze, the wouldn't play.
"I hate this song," he grumbled trying to force his fingers to hit the keys that would play that melody. He managed to forcefully play the first four notes, before his fingers locked up again. They wouldn't budge. "how do you play a love song, when the person you wrote it for is long gone," he asked himself.
He gave up with his song and decided to play a different song he had memorized, his fingers moved quickly with grace and perseverance. Somehow in the song he was playing became the one he couldn't bear to play, he didn't notice his fingers moving along the keys of that sweet song for her. He was lost in the music, he didn't even notice the fact that she had walked into the room. He kept playing getting lost in the sound. He finally played the song all the way through for the first time since she had first gone away. He finally noticed her standing there as his finger's finished dancing over the keys.
"Hey," she smiled weakly at him.
"Hey."
"That was beautiful."
"I hate that song."
"Why?"
"Because it was written for you," he mumbled so she could hopefully not here him.
"Come on you can tell me," she smiled at him.
"Because it was written for you," he said looking away from her and down at the keys, toying with one of them.
"Oh."
"Oh? That's all you can say?"
"What do you want me to say?"
"I don't know ok," he looked at her again, he saw sadness in her eyes.
"I'm sorry."
"What do you have to be sorry about," he asked confused.
"For the pain, I have caused you."
"Oh."
"I missed you Riley."
"I missed you to Case."
"I'm sorry."
"I know."
"I'm always thinking of you," she smiled.
"I miss you so much Case. Why did that have to be goodbye?"
"I don't know Riley."
"It's too late, to let you know," he said as he put the picture he was holding back down.
"Goodbye," he thought he heard her whisper.
So, I killed KC off again . So when he's talking to her, its not her its a picture, and he just thinks he's hearing her. So I hope it was tear jerking, but not depressing. I plan on writing something happy soon.
