DC vs. Marvel:
When Worlds Collide
Something was changing, and everything seemed to be turning upside down. Regular people were getting powers. It was strange, and unusual, and no one had an explanation. Some, were getting locked up because they lacked control over their powers. Star Labs had been trying to take most of them, but others ended up at Advanced Research Labs owned by LexCorp. Most of them were scared; the heroes of the Justice League (The League or JL) were just confused.
This all started with the report of a strange group in black costumes; who appeared and displayed powers as they battled another group, who also had powers. One of them lifted six police cars just by moving his hand. The JL started getting reports of people who were reporting to hospitals because they could suddenly read minds, control the weather, shoot energy blasts from their eyes, emit a paralyzing scream from their mouth, and so on. The list was growing by the day and so far none of the tests that Star Labs had performed were providing any answers.
What was causing all this? Where did these strangers come from?
What was the JL going to do? Would they be needed if everyone started getting powers?
So far, they hadn't met as a group to investigate. They'd all been too busy taking care of isolated incidents on their home turf.
**This story started as a played-by-post game on YahooGroups. There were several of us posting and then the group died. The story still wants me to write it, so I'm editing the parts that were written by the others and also fixing the things I wrote so that story actually gets completed. Hope you enjoy it.
