Fionna ran into the tree-house, ran up the stairs and leapt onto the bed. She hugged the pillow, and closed her eyes. Finally, she was home after that hell of a day. Cake, her adoptive sister, followed her, but at a slower pace.
"Gurl, what the glob are you doing?" she said, seeing Fionna spread-eagled on her bed.
"I'm making meatloaf." Fionna replied sarcastically.
"There's no need for that, hun. I'm gonna make you some pancakes."
Fionna groaned. "Again? Dude, I've just eaten a TON of pancakes at Gumball's thingy, and I'm really full on pancakes. I just wanna lay here."
Cake walked over, and sat on the small area of bed left by her sister. "I was jus kidding! You wanna play BMO or will I have to leave you here?"
A muffled sound came from the pillow. Cake raised an eyebrow.
"Then I'll make you a pancake."
Fionna sat upright instantly, glaring at her sister. "If you make a pancake, it will be sent all the way to the Candy Kingdom, in an envelope, with YOU INSIDE!"
Cake fell on the floor laughing. "Kidding!" she said in-between laughing. "Gurl you are TOO gullible!"
At that moment, BMO walked upstairs. He looked at the scene – Cake was rolling in the floor, choking on laughter, and Fionna was scowling at her. BMO picked up the bowl of ice-cream that was on the floor, and took it back downstairs.
"That was NOT funny Cake! Seriously, even talking about pancakes makes me feel sick." Fionna flopped back onto the bed, holding her stomach and groaning.
"Well if it makes you feel any better, Gumball ate too many as well." Cake replied, standing up having at last stopped laughing.
"Really?" Fionna said, looking at Cake.
"Yep. He left the room after you did, and apparently Peppermint Maid had to carry him upstairs he was so full. At least you made it upstairs."
Fionna chuckled. The thought of Gumball, with his skinny frame and love for food, being too full to move was a funny thought.
"Dude, did you see his face when Marshall threw a pancake at Cinnamon Bun?"
Cake began to giggle. "Yeah, and he was all like 'how dare you throw ma cooking around?'"
Fionna started to giggle too. "Oh my gosh. Our friends are so strange."
"Mmm, that's putting it lightly, hun."
Fionna giggled again, then hiccupped. Cake grinned, happy that Fionna was feeling less ill.
Later that night, as the sisters were getting into bed, Fionna sleepily said "Hey Cake. Next time Gumball invites us over for a celebration…"
"…say no?" Cake finished for her.
"No. Remind Marshall to throw more food around the room. That way I won't eat as much."
Cake laughed quietly. "Ok gurl. If you say so. I doubt Gumball will be as pleased though."
Cake got no response from Fionna, however – she had fallen fast asleep.
