It's a one-shot about one of my favourite pairings of Criminal Minds, I was so sorry when Ashley left the B.A.U. Hope you like it and please tell me what you think :)

How could I forget you?

Spenser Reid closed the door of Hotch's office behind his back and climbed down the stairs. And it was there that he saw her, seated behind the desk collecting the last things; it was all settled by now: since the next day she wouldn't have been anymore a member of the B.A.U. He sadly sighed thinking of how unfair was the goodbye time. All the people he grew fond of sooner or later left him: Gideon, Jj, Emily and now even her; everytime it was the same pain and yet everytime different. This time was different becausehe liked Ashley, of course he also liked the others, but he really liked her. He approached her and stopped on the other side of the desk, faking a smile. Maybe he could have invited her for a last time at that Indian restaurant where they went so often lately.

"So, since this is your last night at the B.A.U., what are you going to do?" he asked her slightly hesitant, a bit for the sadness that came out from his voice, a bit because it almost seemed a date.

And he would have liked to ask her out, but he just wasn't able.

"I think I'll stay here" said Ashley looking him in the eyes, rejecting the idea of a date, that surely crossed her mind too.

Because now it was too late.

"Ok" answered Spencer nodding, call himself stupid to have let pass so much time, to have hoped. Damn! Where did his brain go sometimes? He shooked his head as he began to go away.

"Wait!" Ashley whispered suddenly and in the same moment he turned back, he found her in his arms, in one of that hugs they both didn't receive for so long, too long "Promise me one thing: don't forget me Spencer Reid!" added then still close to him, who didn't dare to let her go for the founded fear to see her disappear.

Spencer felt the tears forming in his eyes, and yet, hearing that last sentence, he couldn't help but smile.

Because with the memory he had, he could have never forget her, not even if he would have wanted it.
