DISCLAIMER: Today I wished upon a star that Twilight would be mine... but for now, it only belongs to the incredible- Stephenie Meyer.
As I took a step out the door of my math classroom I could tell that the rain had ceased and the sky remained a dull gray. It was my lunch period and I was eager to meet up with Edward in the cafeteria, so I carefully made my way across the wet pavement avoiding any puddles in my path.
I decided that it might be fun to see if I could make it to the cafeteria building before Edward did. I knew of a shortcut to the cafeteria, which involved going down a grassy hill near the parking lot, so I headed in that direction.
With the fact of recent rain not even crossing my mind, I began my way down the -wet- hill.
Halfway down I suddenly lost my footing, slipped on mud, completely fell onto my back and my binder, which held all of my math work, flew out of my hand. Ouch, I was going to have on heck of a bruise tomorrow.
I turned as red as a tomato as I heard the roar of laughter coming from other students at the top of the hill. Okay, show's over. I stood up and looked down, my pants were now covered in mud, and so was half of my shirt.
I continued to walk until I got to the building door where I was met up with a grinning Alice. She handed me a plastic bag.
"I figured you might want these."
I looked inside to find a clean pair of jeans and a fresh shirt. I could not help it but give Alice a hug. What Alice said after that made me feel warm to the soul…
"Hey. That is what are sisters for!"
