Sam slid the last stitch through his brother's forearm, tied an efficient knot and bandaged the wound.
"Done." Dean was sprawled on top of the comforter, eyes struggling to stay open.
Sam snagged the Jim Beam as Dean raised it for another swig.
"Sleepy time, Dean. Under the covers," Sam spoke in soft, sure tones.
"But, you…?" Dean, physically and mentally exhausted, still checking on his little brother. Just when Sam though he couldn't love Dean more.
"I'm fine, just bruised," Sam extricated the covers from under Dean, tucked him in. Watched Dean's eyelashes flutter closed before settling in himself.
