Dean's eyelids fluttered, and he blinked slowly, squinting at the bright sunshine.
"Dean?" Sam's voice nudged him softly.
"Mmm? Smmy?" Dean was distracted by the soft breeze on his face, the smell of salt filling his nostrils.
"Dean, you with me?"
Blinking slowly at his brother, Dean tried to focus. Trees. Blue sky past Sam's head.
"You ok, bro?" Puppy eyes.
"You?"
"I asked first, but yeah. Ghost's not though. It's gone."
Glassy eyes tried to focus on his brother before wandering again, lashes fluttering.
"Smmy?"
"Yeah?"
"Flutter-by!" Dean pointed to the monarch on his brother's shoulder and smiled lopsidedly.
