Author's Note: Okay, so I live for Ron and Harry friendship fluffiness. It makes me happy, seeing and writing about what good friends they are (I always try to block out the part in Goblet of Fire when Ron was being a stupid prat) and how close and honest they are with each other. I really hope you enjoy it. Please review and comment because it really makes me happy seeing what you all think. Love ya, peeps. Peace out, Ninja.
Revelations
Sirius awoke with a start. He had relived that night again. James' and Lily's death. Learning about it, being blamed for it, finding out Pettigrew was the one who had murdered them. He gave his head a little shake to try and clear his mind, but after trying to go back to sleep for about an hour, decided to stand up and wander. He felt restless as always, with nowhere to go and nothing to do. Sure, he almost always had friends there like Lupin, Tonks, Kingsley, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, and Bill, but he still got restless. Thankfully, his restlessness had receded somewhat ever since Harry's coming over Christmas break. He was dreading the departure of him, Ron, Hermione, Fred, and George, as they had brought a bit of life back into him and the demolishing building. Fred and George's constant pranks and jokes had lifted his spirits quite obviously. He just wished he could get out and about every now and then.
As he wandered out his bedroom door and out into the hallway, he heard muttering coming from behind Harry's and Ron's bedroom door. He was curious what they would be talking about at two in the morning and so approached the closed door and listened.
"Harry, wake up." Sirius heard Ron talking to Harry and realized Harry must be having some sort of dream or nightmare.
"Harry, wake up!" This time Ron was louder and Sirius heard Harry gasp as he woke up.
"You alright, mate?" Ron asked and worry for his best friend sank into his voice.
"Yeah, I - I'm sorry. I guess I forgot to do a Silencing Charm before I went to sleep." Sirius heard Harry breathing heavily and heard a bed creak. Ron must have lain back down. Sirius was just wondering why would Harry need a Silencing Charm put on him at night, when he heard Ron speak again.
"What was this one about?" he asked. This one? Sirius thought. How many nightmares does Harry have? But Sirius had a sinking feeling that he knew what Harry's dreams were about.
"The graveyard again?" prompted Ron.
"Yeah. Blimey, Ron." Harry sniffed and Sirius's heart broke a little.
"It's alright, mate." Sirius heard another bed creak, and wondered if Ron had moved to sit next to Harry.
"Do you think they'll ever go away?" Harry asked, still sniffing.
"I dunno. But, I'll tell you this. Sometimes, when I was younger, I'd hear my mum and dad in their room talking. And, I'm pretty sure that they were talking about their own nightmares from the war, especially my mum. I think she was always having nightmares about my Uncle Gideon and Uncle Fabian. But, y'know, I hardly ever hear her now. So, maybe they do go away eventually."
"Thanks, Ron." Sirius smiled. He was glad his godson had such a terrific friend. As he heard both boys retreat back to their beds, he heard Ron say, "No problem, mate. You'll always have me and Herms."
"Goodnight, Ron."
"G'night, Harry."
As the room behind the door became quiet again, Sirius resumed his course towards the kitchen, happy his godson was well taken care of.
