The alarm was going off. It was time to wake up and get back to work. But for Rebekah, this would prove to be a different kind of day that would never cease to amaze her… It was five o'clock in the morning, and the day was just beginning. We are in London, England, and it is the start of the 22nd century.

Now Rebekah was a director of high esteem in a rather large advertising company. This advertising company was currently working on a commercial for a privately-owned and operated photography company, incidentally run exclusively by Rebekah's roommate and long-time friend, Katherine. Rebekah and Katherine lived in a two bedroom apartment just outside the center of London.

Katherine had been working late the night before taking pictures for a wedding that had its reception just next to the London Bridge. After the reception had ended, Katherine decided to take a stroll across the bridge before she returned home. All of a sudden, two infamous robbers came running across the bridge and accidentally knocked Katherine over the rail. But instead of hitting the water with a huge splash, she vanished into thin air. No one knew to where she had disappeared until she unexpectedly walked out of the apartment building a little after noon the next day.

Rebekah's only boss that she was required to report to was the president of the company. He had just moved up in rank and was to announce who would take his old position of vice president in the gathering that very evening. Early everyone knew Rebekah would be offered the position. Rebekah was sitting at her desk, going through a stack of papers that had information about the products and actors for the more recent advertising commercials. All of a sudden, Katherine stumbled into her office. She was out of breath and Rebekah started to get worried for her friend.

"Katherine, are you alright? What's wrong?" Rebekah led her friend to a chair and offered her a cup of water. After her friend was able to calm down, she sat in a chair next to her. Katherine started talking and relayed what happened the night before…

"I had my camera with me, so I started taking pictures. I knew the place was London, but I seemed to be warped into a different time. Anyways, one of the people I saw during that time noticed me and followed me back or something, because this guy is now in our apartment building…"

She kept rambling on for a short time, but Rebekah did not seem to be listening. Rebekah gathered her stuff before she and Katherine headed back to their apartment, all the while Katherine relaying events.

A duke from another time had followed Katherine back into their present time period. The day that Katherine had travelled to was three hundred years in the past to an evening where this same duke, named Stephen, was to announce his engagement to the young beautiful Lauren.

Author's Note: So, for now this is a one-shot. I have ideas for turning it into something much longer, but I need to know that you want to hear more about this, so PLEASE review and leave me your feedback. Hope you have enjoyed… KLR
