He has it all- and I have none.

Where I have sorrow he has joy.

He has companionship where I have loneliness.

He has what was mine.

For a time, things were good,

We both had plenty.

Then mine was lost,

And his remained.

I see his boy,

Hair bright-black.

I see him hoist him on his shoulder.

I want a boy.

For a time, we both had none,

We were both shunned.

Then he was redeemed,

As I lay forever in the shadow of the moon.

My past haunts me,

I want to say something.

We were friends,

But it feels like no more.

What I feel is the opposite of hate,

I want everything he has,

All the joy and light,

And him with it.

And still the moon burns me,

But his cold terrors will never reach him.

My decision has been made,

None of us shall ever have again.

And now my deed done,

The bright-black boy will never fly again.

The screams of the dead I shall forever have,

But he shall have them too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well, this poem is a Sirius/ Remus thingy, and it swirled around in my head until I wrote it. It's inspired by this story I read, 'The Man Child' where there are two friends, and one of them has a wife and a son and a big farm, and the other's (his name is Jamie) wife ran away and Jamie had to sell his farmland to his friend. Jamie still stayed on and stuff, and ate with his friend and family, since he didn't have anywhere else to go, and at the end of the story, Jamie strangled his friend's kid. And after I read it, I just kept thinking of Sirius & Remus, and how when the whole Voldemort thing is over, Sirius will be redeemed, and Remus is always gonna be shunned because he's a werewolf. Anyways, please review!
