FEEDBACK:
pleeeeeeeeeeeeease.
Troy had sand in his pants. Twitching and squirming to remove the itchy particles from his big-boy power ranger undies, he stood up from the sand box, sand dripping off him like water from a soak in the bath. Pulling out his wedgie, he looked towards the snack table, and teetered over to get a juice box.
"Argh! Get off me!" someone squeaked. The voice was high pitched and girly. "No, let go!" the voice cried, suddenly, someone crashed into the table from behind, burying in Troy under an avalanche of juice boxes and apples. A small, meaningless tear escaped Troy's eyes (those juice boxes had sharp edges!). Looking around him, Mrs Lopez hadn't noticed. She was on the other side of the room, reaching the first aid kid. A little podgy girl called Sharpay had a splinter in her finger and was crying uncontrollably that she didn't wanted her finger chopped off. A scrawny blonde boy was clutching her other hand for support.
Un-burying himself, he stood up, and immediately heard the crying again. Looking around the table, he saw a small brown boy, being pulled up by two guys who looked like they should be in 2nd grade, not kindergarten.
"Do a trick, puppy! Play dead!" they coaxed. The child's lip quivered uncontrollably, holding back floods of tears.
"No," he said quietly. He was clutching a grape-fruit sized, toddler basketball tightly to his chest. The biggest boy reached out and grabbed it from him. Jumping in the air he yelled:
"Jump for it, puppy!" Tears were now flowing down the child's fade.
"Give it back!" he screamed, flying into the air after it. "It's mine, give it back!" he shouted. Mrs Lopez still hadn't noticed. The room was noisy and toys were flying everywhere. This group didn't look any different.
Troy was raging. Christian and Andy were so mean. Flying at Christian, the biggest, he kicked him hard in the shins then turned around and shoved Andy so hard he fell backwards. They both looked at him like he had done something crazy. Andy grunted.
"Have your stupid ball back," he said, dropping it onto the floor. Troy put a hand out to help him up.
"Hey. I'm Troy." He said. The small boy dusted himself off and picked up his ball.
"I'm Chad." Said Chad.
"Why are those boys so mean to you?" Troy asked, walking slowly around the table with Chad beside him.
"They think my hair makes me look like a cocker spaniel." Troy was taken aback and tried hard not to laugh. The two new friends found themselves in front of the fallen juice boxes.
"Wanna... share a juice box?" Troy asked.
"Sure," There was a moment pause before Chad replied.
"Be my bestest friend?" Chad asked with a slight lisp.
"Sure,"
