Chapter 1
I woke in a mangled mess on a beaten up couch that reeked of alcohol. I groggily lifted myself to my feet. I was completely dazed and I felt like I had been hit by a train going 100 miles an hour. My dress was torn right down the side, my hair matted and all my make-up was smudged. The floor was covered with vodka bottles, cigarette stubs and plastic cups. Everyone from the party the night before had all ready left by the looks of it. It was Luke's, my boyfriends seventeenth birthday so he threw a big bash. I was intending to go home at 11:00pm but was so drunk I crashed here. My parents are gonna be so mad at me! I sluggishly walked up to Luke's room where he was completely out of it. I left him a note saying I had a great time and that I would ring him later today. Love you with three kisses.
I found one of my heels in a plant pot and the other in the fridge next to the milk. I don't have a clue how they got there. Once I was in my car I put the heating on full blast and the radio on quietly. My head was pounding and I don't think I could have coped with heavy metal music this morning. I drove under the speed limit all the way home, trying to put of the inevitable. Mom and dad are going to go nuts. As I pulled into my drive way my heart picked up the pace. I took a deep breath and climbed out of my car. Every step I took the temptation to get back in my car and drive away got stronger. I entered my house to find my parents and Jacob sitting silently in the living room. As soon as my mom heard me come through the door she ran up and hugged me mumbling thank goodness. My got up from out of his seat but didn't say a word. I knew they could all smell the alcohol with their heightened senses.
"Renesmee, could you please explain to us why you have been out all night and why you smell like a brewery. ." my father boomed.
"I...I" I began.
"You what renemsee" it was Jacob spoke now.
"I went to a party and lost track of time. I'm so sorry I didn't mean to worry you." I confessed.
"Go have a shower and get out of my sight. I can hardly stand to look at you" my father, Edward said sternly.
I waited for my mother to say something but she just stood there staring at the floor. After a about 20 seconds o awkward silence I gave in and made my way up the stairs to my bedroom. I sat perched on the end of my bed and cried into my hands. I know it was my fault and I could have prevented this entire thing but in a way I don't regret it. Yes, sure I regret hurting my parents and Jake, but I'm just like any other teen girl, I need to rebel and make mistakes. I need to find who I really am and they are not letting me. My whole family are so damn protective. I lay back on my bed and stared at my ceiling until i drifted off into unconsciousness.
