He'll Never Know

Julia sat beside an unconscious David wondering why. Why had he taken the bullet for her? She left Red Shield and joined Cinq Flèches, the enemy of Red Shield. Why would he have saved her? And why did he smile after saving her life? Did he want to die or something? There has to be a reason. He was serious no nonsense man. There has to be a reason why.

"Sometimes I don't understand you David," she said to herself.

She placed her hand on his feeling how cold his hand was. It almost looked like he was dead but the beating of his pulse said that he was alive. Julia ran her hand up and down David's arm feeling his tone muscles he gain from fighting Chiropterans. Once she had ran her hand back down to his, she gripped his hand tightly.

Lifting his hand up to her face, she brushed her face against his hand. "Why did you save me?" she whispered. Tears started to rain from her eyes. "David, please wake up and tell me why." Julia lowered his hand back down to the bed and wiped the tears from her eyes but that didn't help, more tears fell.

Julia stood up and hovered over David's face. Her tears landed on his face as she moved her head closer to his. Closer and closer until her lips was a centimeter away from his. She backed away a bit, nervous of what she was about to do. It wouldn't hurt to place a kiss on his lips. It was not like he was going to know.

Her heart pounded faster, but she did it. Her lips were on his and she was glad that she hadn't woken him up. After a few seconds she broke the kiss and looked at his face.

"I love you," she whispered softly. Julia stood up all the way and left his hospital room confident that he doesn't know that she had kissed him.

But actually he did.

A/N: I hope you like it. It is the first Blood+ fanfic I ever wrote. Please review.
