The morning light streamed through the trees, illuminating the sleeping figures of warriors clad in black. It was then one of the six stirred, opening her bright, silver eyes. She groaned and sat up, rubbing her eyes. She looked around doing a quick head count, smiling when she counted a grand total of six. 'We made it through the night.' She thought to herself, and looked down to the girl sleeping next to her. She wanted to shake her awake, but after the long day they had yesterday, she couldn't bring herself to. She looked over and found herself smiling at an adorable scene. A couple of the younger members had their arms wrapped around each other with smiles on their faces.
Helen couldn't help but gawk at the pair. She had her suspicions about them for quite some time now, but to actually see it was endearing. The woman next to her began to wake and she opened her eyes groggily, attempting to rub the sleep out of them. Helen ruffled her hair.
"Morning, sleeping beauty."
"Shut up."
Helen laughed. "Don't be such a grouch so early." Her only response was a groan and turned her gaze back to the sleeping girls and watched as one kissed the other on the forehead. The girl opened her eyes and smiled as the other watched her.
"Hey, get a room you two!" Helen whispered to them, smiling at the pair. She watched as the girl with longer hair, Yuma blushed and looked away while the other turned and stuck her tongue out. "You have no right to talk! What about you and Deneve? You guys aren't exactly sneaky!" She whisper shouted back at her. Helen was caught off guard and scoffed. "Yeah well, we're older than you and don't you forget it!" Cynthia, the girl with pigtails rolled her eyes as she sat up. She leaned in and gave Yuma a kiss before standing up.
"I'm going to go check out the area and see if I can find something to eat. I'm actually hungry for a change." She whispered, sending a wink Yuma's way. The girl only blushed, and nodded. Helen faked a gag noise before giggling and felt a punch to her shoulder. "Hey!"
"Don't be rude."
This time it was Helen's turn to groan, a pout on her face. "Don't pout, you're more mature than- oh. Maybe not." Deneve said, smirking as she sat up. Helen's face was nothing but shocked. "Den! How could-" Deneve kissed her and stood up. "I'm going to join Cynthia. I'll be back soon. And I'll bring you an apple if I can find one."
Helen just pouted and nodded. Another groan was heard and Helen turned around to see Clare. "Something wrong, sour puss?"
"Yeah something's wrong. I wake up and everyone's sucking face. I'll just stand here, don't worry. It isn't awkward or anything."
Helen laughed at her, showing no shame. "Aw, Clare's a little lonely? I'm sure you'll find somebody once you're attitude gets sweeter."
"But Deneve likes you the way you are."
Helen scowled and stuck her tongue out. "You are just terrible in the morning, huh?"
"It happens."
A laugh was heard in the back ground and when Helen looked, Yuma was covering her mouth. "What's so funny?"
"Oh, don't worry about it." She said through giggles as she stood up. "I'm gonna go find Cynthia. Don't kill each other, okay?" Helen smirked.
"Keep it pg, alright Yuma?" She added a wink for emphasis and Yuma's face flushed bright red as she took off. Helen just started laughing. "Oh, to be young and naïve. That girl has a lot coming."
"Yeah, you can say that again."
Both girls laughed just as the other two were waking. Tabitha rubbed her eyes, yawning. "Did I miss anything?"
Helen and Clare exchanged glance. "Oh, nothing much."
