Disclaimer: I own nothing!
A/N: I fully intend on finishing 'Satan's Kiss' but seeing as I am very out of practice I decided to start with writing a little ficlet to get back into writing. :)
Out of pure habit I glanced at my watch.
Draco would be getting off work in five minutes.
Maybe today would be the day. Maybe today he would come to see me.
But I had thought that for months now; three long months.
He had told me that he did love me but that we couldn't do this anymore. He had then proceeded to stop answering my owls and generally disappear off my radar.
At first Harry and Ron were sympathetic to my plight but eventually they thought I would just moved on. The fact that I couldn't bewildered them. After a short while they just stopped noticing.
There was still evidence that Draco existed. Harry and Ron still got owls and went out with him. Various documents and memos that passed by my desk held his signature. One day when I came home from work, I even found his jacket strewn across a chair. He had clearly forgotten it when he was visiting the boys.
That night I had slept wrapped in that jacket, for the first time in so long feeling protected. His smell filled my nostrils and for that night I was safe.
The next day the jacket was gone.
I rolled over in my bed. Not for the first time I wondered would it be easier to just end it all now. Or maybe if I just had to go into hospital he'd remember that he loved me and come back to me.
No. It was no use thinking like that.
I knew he was going out with Harry and Ron tonight. Maybe I could wear next to nothing and seduce him. Surely it would be easy enough to get him into bed. Hopefully then he would remember how he once felt ... how he told me he once felt.
A knock on the door forced me to drag myself out of bed. As I crossed the room to the front door I wondered which one of my friends had forgotten their key.
I pulled across the bolt and turned the key, not even looking as I opened the door.
'Hi' I familiar voice reached my ears.
My heart stopped.
I felt tears fill my eyes.
I looked at the visitor leaning against the doorframe.
There he was.
Hope you liked.
Thanks for reading
