A sudden and strange idea that came to me while listening to the song "Sand Storm" by Orbital.
(Gawd, I love those guys) and rereading It's Raining Babies.

It was his decision, and one that he had to stand by, no matter how much he wanted to go
back to sleep.
Because that decision he made was currently bawling its eyes out at three in the morning; a
time no one should have to suffer through. Unless it was during a mission, of course.
Sighing, he got up and tended to the baby. Lord knows how he did it, but he managed to
feed and burp it while still in a post-mission-sleep-stupor, that is, until he became aware of the
fact that the baby had slipped out of its diaper in a none too appealing announcement. Jerking
awake, he pulled the baby away from his drenched chest only to find more warm liquid streaming
down the baby's legs and steadily forming a puddle on the floor.
If asked six years ago how he would see himself today, being awake in the pre-dawn
hours and covered in baby urine wouldn't even have ranked on his list of possible ideas.
It's funny how time changes things.
Had Sasuke been anything but a sixteen year old father, and had it not been past the
middle of the night, he probably would have commended his kid for escaping the confines of its
diaper, like a true-blue Uchiha.
But he WAS a sixteen year old father.
And it WAS the middle of the night.
And BECAUSE he WAS Sasuke-freaking-teenage-single-father-Uchiha whose traitorous
murderous older brother WAS Itachi-murderer-of-everything-Sasuke-loved-loves-and-cherishes-
Uchiha, Sasuke had no one to help him out with his crying baby.
Suddenly, times changing didn't seem so funny anymore.
At a loss, Sasuke slumped his shoulders in defeat and fatigue, and carried his child into
the bathroom for a quick bath for the both of them. He resolved to never again give in to the
temptation of laziness and let the baby sleep only in its diaper.
On second thought, at least the kid had only peed.
