A/N: Post non-human path for those who don't want a spoiler. It's really short, but I had this idea, and I couldn't let it die. Besides, I needed to type up something to pay my respects to them. Rawr, I even put up with Ridley's parts for their sake. hates Ridley
If I owned Radiata Stories, then why would I post in FANfiction?
Freshly cut grass and the soft morning breeze; these are things some people can take for granted when they live carefree. For Ridley and Jack, it was a perfect moment.
The thick-headed brunet and his team had escaped the End of the World, and even though their wounds and bruises called for rest, just the mere atmosphere fed their will to move forward. This time, with hearts cleansed from the anxiety of the war and the hatred brought from the demonic human known as Cross. Yes, this was the feeling of peace and freedom.
"Jack?"
"Yes Ridley?"
"They never left the castle, did they?"
"No. I guess the captain couldn't really bear being away from his dad again."
"Do you think... Do you think Ganz and Gawain.. are happy?"
This was a tough question, but with his trademark grin, he easily replied, "They're a family now. No matter what happens, or where they are, as long as they have each other, everything will be okay!"
Almost as though his words had come true, off in the distance, both warriors were looking at the retreating squad, genuine smiles on their faces. This is what they died for, and they knew the elves, dwarves, goblins, and the people of Radiata could finally live in peace. It was what they wanted, and they knew the young warrior and cunning knight would keep the world in this condition.
Paying homage, Jack looked back at the two. The captain was the first person he could truly trust in the knights. Who knows? Maybe they'll meet again, if Ganz' spirit is just like any of the dead goblins he had met. And Gawain... He'd love to hear stories of the good ol' days from him. Yeah... This wasn't a good bye. It was only the beginning.
