Chapter 1: Traitor
"Kabuto, I'm glad that you could make it," Orochimaru said with a devious grin.
Kabuto bowed. "As my superior, whenever you need my assistance, I'll be there."
"Good answer Kabuto." He shifted in his seat. "I have called you before me because there is something we must discuss that involves Miss Hino Mitsuki."
Kabuto froze. "M-Mitsuki? What of her?"
"Well, I'll just come out and say it…" He cleared his throat. "My suspicions about Mitsuki have been confirmed. She's leaking information to the ninjas of Konohagakure."
"What! B-But…" He shook his head. "Why couldn't I see this!"
"I've always suspected her of being a traitor after I sent her to Konohagakure to investigate Uchiha Sasuke."
"You…did?"
"I've kept tabs on her after that mission."
Kabuto looked at the floor. "…What are you going to do with her?"
Orochimaru stood up. "Mitsuki…She was always a wonderful spy. Why do you think I made her second in command to you? But for her to betray someone like me is outrageous. I can't have this, therefore, I want you to gather all the information that she has given out. I can't proceed in anything until I know what my enemies know."
"And then what?"
"I'll dispose of her."
"You mean…"
"Yes, I'm going to kill her. Traitors must be dealt with severely. She is a formidable foe, but I will be able to handle her." He licked his lower lip. "I trust you Kabuto. I know you will be able to gather that information."
"…Y-Yes, yes of course. I will."
"Good boy, now go and carry out your duties."
"Yes sir!" He bowed and turned on his heel. He headed for the door when Orochimaru called for him.
"Kabuto, a puppet that no longer can be used is mere garbage, remember that."
"…I know." He walked out.
Orochimaru licked his lower lip again. "Don't fail me Kabuto."
