I don't honestly have to say that I don't own Danny Phantom, do I? Well, I don't.

Written for the Challenge Twenty Years, this is a small glimpse into what I think may happen. Or not, because you can't really go around making the main character vanish entirely, can you? ;)

I'm Stil Here

"Can I get you something, dear?" Sara asked gently. "Just some water please." Sara smiled down at him. "Sure thing." She said and took him menu as she walked back to the kitchen. "Thanks."

"Who's the cutey?" Mary nudged her as she walked around the counter. "Who?" Sara asked, looking around. Mary just nudged her again. "Table 27? Red hat?" Sara looked across the floor. "Oh. I don't know. He comes in every year, though. Or, at least, every year since I've been here." She explained as she put the armful of menus in the bin. "He comes in every year though, sits alone for a while and then a girl comes in a joins him. They don't order anything." Mary leaned against the counter and poured some coffee for another customer. "That's weird, huh?"

"What's weird?" Lindsey asked when she walked past the two servers. "Look over at 27, see that guy there?" Mary pointed with the coffee pot. "Yeah, what about him?" Lindsey dumped some dirty plates through the window into the back of the kitchen. "Well, Sara here says that he comes in every year and just sits there. Says a girl comes in and sits with him, and then they just.. leave." She shrugged.

"Huh. " Lindsey, who hadn't really been that interested to begin with, looked over at 27 and gasped. "I know who that is! He went to my school. His name's umm... Tucker." she said as she wiped her hands on her apron. " Man, was it his friend?" "Whose friend? What are you talking about?" Sara asked. "Oh, wait a minute, I have to get his water." She said and hurried to the table and back. "Ok, what were you saying?"

"Well, like I said, I went to school with him. I didn't know him though; just saw him in the halls with his friends. One of the kids he hung out with wasn't real popular, I mean none of them were 'popular', but people really liked to pick on this kid. Anyway, you remember a few years back that whole stink in the news about a missing kid?" Sara and Marry nodded. "Well, if I remember correctly, that kid was 27's best friend."

"Oh my god." Sara said and looked over at her table. "Yeah. No one ever found out what happened to him. Even after years of searching and questioning, nothing ever turned up. No body, no note. No evidence to point towards a direction that would lead them anywhere." Lindsey shook her head.

"He simply vanished."

Tucker looked up as Sam sat across from him and smiled thinly. "Hey." He said, and then sipped from his glass. Sam smiled back. "Hey."

Sara moved in swiftly with another glass of water to place in front of her. "Can I get you something, Hun?" She asked, mostly from habit. "No, thank you. Water is fine." Sara nodded and removed the second menu from table 27. "I'll bring you a pitcher of water, ok?" They bother looked up and nodded their thanks.

"Is that the other one?" Mary asked when Sara returned to the front counter. "Yeah, I think it is." She said as she filled a glass pitcher with iced water. "Poor kids."

Sara set the pitcher on the table and tended to her other tables. By the time she next looked up, table 27 was empty. Sara sighed sadly and walked over to clear it, but as she got closer she noticed something quite strange. On the pitcher, written in the condensation was a simple sentence:

"I'm still here."
