Disclaimer: Still don't own.
Falling, falling, falling.
That's all he's ever known, yet he's never become used to it.
No matter how often or how long it happened, the feeling of the wind rushing through his ears still terrified him.
His clothes flapped aimlessly around him, adding to the roaring in his ears and his hair fluttering in his eyes.
He closed his eyes. He had had enough. This time he was going to just let the darkness take him. He was tired of fighting it.
'What was that?'
Another sound floated past on the wind. It almost sounded like someone calling his name. No, it couldn't be. No one cared enough. He leaned his head back further, letting the wind tear through his hair, feeling himself sink further into the darkness.
"ARTHUR!"
His eyes slid open. A glint of light off glass and a flash of blue was all he saw before he was pressed into a warm chest and arms wound around him, encasing him, protecting him. The roaring of the wind stopped.
He was safe at last.
