Patience

"It's not fair!" Jean yelled throwing Marie across the room once again. Jean's eyes were livid and Jean may be the wrong name for the fury invested woman. She tossed Rogue's battered body against another wall and it shattered.

"Jean!" Logan pounded on the door. "You open this door and you let my Marie go this instant!"

"Jean leave Marie out of this!" Scott's voice also joined.

"I'm- ok," Marie's weak voice came through the door and reached the ears of her eager men.

"Right you keep saying that dear and soon you'll die," Jean sneered.

"You think you're so tough," Marie said standing. "I beg to differ," she stood and walked towards the door.

"Marie I feel you," Logan said through the door.

"Sorry I need to borrow your strength my love." Marie continued pulling from Logan as Jean watched on fuming. Soon Marie was in close to perfect health and she turned to face Jean. "Scott my darling I need you to take care of Logan I'm sure I nearly killed him."

"I'll look after him for you," Scott's voice came strong.

"I also need you to get away from this room, I don't think it will be standing too much longer," Marie added.

"Be careful my love."

"I will," Jean snapped.

"I meant Marie," Scott huffed.

"I'm ready to take her," Marie said.

"Right," Jean said glaring at Marie and preparing to throw all her strength at her. Marie braced herself and stood firm footed facing Jean.

Jean screamed as she threw all of her energy at Marie. Marie stared wide eyed as the wave of red energy shot towards her in quantities that had the potential to swallow her whole. Marie spread her arms and opened herself to the power. As it hit her she forced her mutation out of every cell of her body and it feasted on the power sent forth by Jean. Marie lowered her arms as all of the power absorbed into her.

"Game over," Marie said releasing the energy back into the room and bursting it open at the seams. Jean had used a barrier to protect herself so Marie didn't even look back.

"Answer me something!" Jean screamed. Marie sighed but turned back to the older woman. "How did you get them to agree to both being with you?" Jean looked desperate and crestfallen.

Marie looked over to where she saw her two men waiting with worried looks. "It wasn't easy, they had to want it. I had to wait to be with either of them until they were both willing to be with me. What it took was love and patience," Marie then exited the rubble and went off to her boys.

"Are you ok?" Scott asked as they both rushed her.

"Here, here take some of my healing factor," Logan pushed his arm into her hands.

"I'm ok," she said smiling. "I don't need healing factor really," she kissed Logan then Scott. "But thank you for worrying." Marie looked down.

"What's wrong?" Scott asked taking Marie into his arms.

"I kind of feel bad for her," Marie said. "I mean I got you both and she's all alone," she looked up at Scott.

"Well we chose you," Logan said pressing his body against Marie's. She giggled as she was once again sandwiched in between the two. Logan rubbed her cheeks and planted a sweet kiss on her lips. Scott kept his arms around her waist even though they also hit at Logan's stomach with him pressed against Marie's front. Scott started kissing along Marie's neck and she just couldn't believe how great patience was.
