A/N In the state where I live they have an Easter egg for the blind that has beeping eggs and if you can see you get bind folded. I only went once years ago. Jake belongs to Boris Yeltsin.
It was a nice spring day and while it wasn't Easter yet, the Rugrats had been invited to an Easter egg hunt by their friend Jake. They arrived at the park where the egg hunt would take place.
"What's that noise?" Lil asked.
"That's the sound the eggs make so that blind kids like me can find them." Jake explained."You can guys can find them too and wear these so you can see what it's like to be me."
A blind fold was passed to all of the kids. Their parents helped them put them on and the egg hunt began.
The kids listened for the eggs. The blind fold took some getting used to but eventually everyone was putting eggs into their baskets.
Once all the eggs were found and the beeping was turned off the kids were allowed to pick out an Easter basket.
Once they had all chosen a basket they wanted they all sat down to a picnic style lunch.
"So what did you guys think?" Jake asked as he swallowed his last bite of food.
"It was neat." Tommy answered.
Everyone else gave similar answers.
"What are we supposed to do?" Kimi asked later on when everyone was at Tommy's house decorating eggs and talking about the special egg hunt they had had that afternoon.
"What do you mean kimi?" Chuckie asked dipping his egg in blue dye.
"jake is coming to our Easter party but how can he find the eggs? We don't have beeping ones." Kimi elaborated.
"We might not haveing beeping ones but we got stuff to put on the eggs so Jake can feel them." Tommy told them.
"But Tommy he can already feel eggs." Phil pointed out.
"Yeah we need somthing he can hear to find the eggs." Lil added.
"I don't know how we can make a real egg beep, but we got all these plastic ones we can beeping stuff into." Tommy explained pointing over to the box of colored plastic eggs that had yet to be filled with candy.
The kids abandoned their real eggs and went in search of beeping things. They found a few small toys and put them in the eggs.
"We didn't find very much beeping stuff." Lil commented looking down at the five small plastic eggs on the floor that the kids managed to fill.
"Well I'm sure Jake won't mind." Tommy assured them."He found a lot of eggs at his egg hunt."
Easter arrived and everyone gathered at the Finster's house for their annual Easter party.
"We're doing something different this year with the egg hunt." Chas announced."The kids will pair up and try to get the most eggs. Whoever does that will win the grand prize."
Chas showed off the giant chocolate bunny that was the prize. Angelica began to drool and declared that she would find all the eggs.
The kids paired up. Tommy and Chuckie, Phil and Lil, Kimi and Jake, and much to Angelica's dismay she got paired up with Dil.
They all began searching for the eggs. Kimi let Jake know when he was near an egg so he could put some iin his basket.
"We got a problem guys." Kimi whispered as she found herslf next to Tommy in the bushes."The eggs we put stuff in aren't beeping."
Tommy looked over to see Jake feeling for the egg Kimi had told him was near. He soon found it and put it in his basket."Well he still looks like he's having fun."
Tommy and Kimi both emerged from the bushes with an egg.
The egg hunt was soon over and Phil and Lil won the giant chocolate bunny.
"What's this?' Jake asked shaking a plastic egg as the kids sat aound looking through their baskets. Jake opened the egg to reveal one of the toys that was supposed to beep.
"We tried to make special eggs for you but the toys didn't beep." Tommy explained with a disappointed tone.
"That was nice of you guys. Sorry your plan didn't work, but I still found lots of eggs." Jake said happily.
