Percy did not want to know how could an Iris-message appear in front of him all of sudden.
Right now.
And the correct definition for right now in Percy's mind is when everything was a pretty mess-courtesy to the battle which had been begun since a couple hours ago and still in a big progress of finishing. One final touch and the leader of their foes would begged for mercy. He already done it, actually, for like a minute ago. It was just that horrible feeling trying to make him thought that one of those monster in loss would slash him into pieces.
Even if those thought would not become true, at least Percy wanted to have a short call for his girlfriend.
There was Annabeth and her sleepy, stunning, addicting grey eyes. She was definitely trying to get some sleep in her cabin back in Camp Half-Blood, but failed. / "Percy?" /
The time is running out, or so he thought. It will be a very short call. He can't waste any single second.
He remembered the last thing she told her before he left the camp. Two words. Seaweed Brain. He would do anything to hear them out from her lips once again.
"Annabeth. We win."
And now, those lovely orbs were bright enough to light a whole town. / "That is great! So, when will you arrive?" /
Okay, no more wasting time. "I love you, Wise Girl," he told her quick, and silently prayed that his expression was supporting his sentence.
/ "Eh? I love you, too-" /
Percy did not even need those words, even if it took more than a year for her to told him that for the first time after they were officially in a relationship. His neck tingled a little and he knew an armed monster is on its way to crush him less than ten seconds.
/ "-Seaweed Brain." /
It was enough. Percy smiled for the last time, and fell down after got stabbed by a Minotaur in his back. He did not have the chance to saw the horror on Annabeth's face or anything else. Because after all, an 'I love you' is not powerful enough, but a 'Seaweed Brain' does. Percy Jackson was and is Annabeth Chase's only Seaweed Brain, the one who was oblivious, stupid, funny, caring, addicting, smart, cheering, and most of all, the one who loves her and begin loved by her the most.
(-and please remember it clearly, Annabeth, that no one else in this world could replace your Seaweed Brain.)
*THE END!*
