Karena: Just a short drabble I wrote for The Grudge 2. It's pairing is Aubrey/Eason, just because I know they secretly fell in love at first sight and Eason would SOOOO love to get in her pants! XD Anyways please review …if there's even anybody out there reading this… o.o
Together
"They say it was a suicide," Eason spoke softly to the young brunette, who was shivering because of the shock of what just happened. Her sister, Karen, had just thrown herself off the roof? Impossible. Even if Karen seemed to be "off her rocker", just a little bit, she wouldn't commit suicide. Aubrey couldn't seem to bring herself to accept that. Something more had to be at play here, something…sinister, possibly.
"No matter what they say," Aubrey said, taking the drink he had just offered her. "I don't believe them. Karen wouldn't do something like that, she just wouldn't!"
Eason nodded his head, staring at the girl he had just met maybe moments before. They'd only known each other twenty minutes, if even that, and all ready she was confiding things in him. As soon as he had seen her, trying to speak English with the nurses, he had been smitten. Oh how low the mighty have fallen, his mind sneered. He had never been this taken with any girl, ever. He had prided himself on his self-control, while all his other friends fell hard for girls. Now here he was, possibly being under the spell of love at first sight with a girl he barely even knew. He only knew her first name and that she was related to Karen Davis.
"Will you help me?" Aubrey suddenly piped up, turning to stare intensely into his dark eyes. He stared helplessly at her, wondering what he should say. If he helped her, she would surely find out what had really happened to her sister. Then she might have the curse set upon her and he knew he didn't want that happening. Then again, she might go around trying to figure it out on her own and stumble upon it, without him there to help her if she needed it. He sighed, glancing into the liquid of the drink he had picked out for himself. Tea, in hopes that it would calm his nerves after seeing Kayoko clinging to Karen's body for just one moment.
Finally he nodded, glancing back up as Aubrey smiled. "Good," she said and, before she could stop herself, she had hugged him. Her arms had woven around his neck, pulling her slender body tightly against his. He tensed, feeling every soft curve and supple feature of her figure against his own. He finally relaxed, placing his hands awkwardly on her waist.
"It'll be all right," he finally told her, patting her on the back. She tightened her hold, sighing now that she had someone to share this with, someone who could possibly help her. "We'll get through this, together."
