This is really short and I wrote it super fast. You all don't know how excited I am right now. I hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

He makes his way through the gates slowly. Making sure to not make a single sound as he steps into the place he long ago called home. Even though he hasn't had sleep in a little over two days, he feels alive. He breathes in deeply and exhales quietly. His body aches and he knows he needs sleep but first he has to see her. He promised he'd see her when he came back, and so he will.

She was wide awake and for some reason anxious. It was late, she knew she had to be up in a few hours but she decided to get up anyway. She stared at her reflection in the tall mirror across from her. She smiled at herself and tried to fix her messy hair. She had on nothing but an oversized t-shirt and undergarments. It was mid-summer so the heat made it impossible for her to sleep with any more clothes on. She walked over to her kitchen after giving up on the mess that was her hair and stopped when she glanced out of her window.

Her heart started pounding insanely fast. Is this real? Am I dreaming? She thought to herself as she hurried to open the window. There he was. After eight long months of being away on his journey.

"S-Sasuke-kun?" She didn't mean for it to come out as a question. His hair was a lot longer than it had been when she last saw him. He also looked very tired yet he still had a barely-there smile on his face. She saw him disappear into the entrance of her building. She hurried to the front door and opened it, waiting for him to appear from the stairs.

She didn't know what to say, much less how to react. She didn't care that she was half naked or that her hair was wild. He was back and the first person he came to see was her.

"Sakura" he breathed out once he was right in front of her. She stepped to the side allowing him inside her house. He walked in and took a seat on her small couch. She analyzed him from head to toe and he did the same to her. That's when the blush appeared on her face. "Sorry, I was already in bed." She tried to explain her current attire with a shy smile. Sasuke closed his eyes and returned the smile.

He heard her footsteps getting closer and closer to him. He didn't open his eyes. She sat next to him and placed a hand on his forehead, the medic in her wanting to make sure he was alright before she said anything else. "I've missed you, Sasuke-kun." She said softly after she made sure he was fine. She removed her hand from his forehead and placed it on her knee. Her voiced caused his eyes to open and focus on her. He sat up and shifted his body a little so that all of him was facing her. "I'm back." He whispered, taking her hand from her knee and giving it a light squeeze. "For good?" She asked, her free hand moving some of the hair from his face. He gave her hand another squeeze and pulled her towards him in response.

She couldn't help but sob quietly into his chest. He was back. He finally came back and she knew this time he'd stay. She cuddled up closer to him and glanced up at him to make sure he was okay with it. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead and then leaned back on the couch. His body was exhausted and he wanted nothing more than to sleep in an actual bed with this beautiful girl in his arms.

"Come on, Sasuke-kun. Let's go to bed." She said a few seconds after.

It's as if she had read his mind.
