To Save a Life
NALA'S POV
Why me, why did I deserve this. I didn't do anything to the other cubs, did I? No. They just thought it was fun to pick on me, for what? The satisfaction of seeing a girl stripped of her rights as a living being? I sat there, on the edge of a cliff thinking about this, and my easy shortcut through the circle of life, skipping all the pain and suffering. "Why!" I yelled, tears forming in my eyes "why me, what did I do wrong?" I slowly began to make up my mind, inching towards the edge of the cliff, towards my death.
SIMBA'S POV
Ugh, other cubs could be so... So infuriating, they always thought they we right, no matter what. Trying to forget the cubs, I was talking a walk around the outskirts of the pride lands. And that's when I heard it, the anguished cries of a cub. They sounded like they came from the right, over by that huge cliff I almost fell down last week. Rushing over to the cliff, I hear the pained cries of a girl, I could only make out five words, "what did I do wrong." then I see her, a creamy tan cub who appeared to be inching her way over the cliffside. "Stop!" I yell, "don't do this."
NALA'S POV
I can hear another cub yelling, I turn around to see a golden cub running towards me. In fear that he is the same as the others and just wants to hurt me, I jump. "AHHHHH!" I let out a sad scream, but before I can fall, something catches me. Whoever stopped me from dying begins to pull me back up. When I'm back on land I scream "why did you save me? Why won't you just stop?"
"Hey, hey stop screaming." Simba says. "W-who are you?" I say, beginning to calm down. "My name is Simba" he says "what's yours?" I look into his eyes and see he doesn't want to hurt me "I-I'm N-Nala." I say. I don't mean to be pushy," he says " but why did you try to jump?" I begin to start crying, large heavy tears are cascading down my face "B-because of all the other cubs, they hate me and think I'm ugly. They don't let me do anything with them, just laugh and-and tell me how worthless I am." By this point Simba had put his arm around me and pulled me into a hug. "Shh, don't listen to them." he said "I think your coat is pret- err nice, and you are not worthless, don't listen to any of them." Oh my god, was he about to say he thought my coat was pretty? "Thanks Simba, thanks for saving my life." "Well, Nala, friends?" he said. He was offering to be my friend, my first friend! "of course" I said pinning him down in the process "Pinned Ya."
