Chapter 1
One day Lorelai is walking out in the town square with her 2 daughters 4 year old Zoe on her bike and 6 month old Grace on her hip when she sees Nate Fisher,Brenda, and thier 2 daughters Maya and Willa having a picnik and smiles taking the kids over to them.
"hey guys!" Lorelai says all friendily
"hey Lorelai." Nate says and smiles
"hey Lorelai, Hi girls!" "Where's Alexa?" Brenda wonders
"oh she just went shopping with Rory in New Haven today." Lorelai tells her
"you want to sit and join us?" Brenda wonders "We have enough for like 20." Brenda wonders
Lorelai smiles "Uh yeah sure." she says and helps Zoe park her bike and take her helmet off and sits with Zoe and Alex on the blanket on the ground.
"So what's Brady doing today?" Nate wonders
"Oh Luke took him over to baseball practice." Lorelai tells them
Brenda just smiles "so how are you guys?" she wonders
Lorelai smiles "were good and trying to get pregnant again." Lorelai tells them
"What?" Brenda questions
"what?" Nate questions
"well Luke and I want a big family and we have decided that 4 is not not enough and one more would be good." Lorelai tells them
"wow." Brenda says and laughs
"wow." Nate says
"I know!" Lorelai says
Nate just smiles then smiles at Grace "can I hold her?" Nate wonders
"Lorelai smiles "yeah sure." she gently hands the baby over to him
Nate takes her in his lap gently and Grace just looks up at him.
"Hi baby." he says gently
Grace just smiles at him.
"so how are you Zoe?" Brenda wonders
"me gwood!" she giggles dipping her carrot into some ranch dressing
"that's good and how's Alexa?" Brenda wonders
"she gwood two!" Zoe tells her
"that's good." Brenda says and smiles
Lorelai just smiles too.
"so is Alexa excited about going into 2nd grade in the fall?" Brenda wonders
"she is." Lorelai tells her
"awe that's great." Brenda says
"yeah are you ready for Maya to be in 4th grade?" Lorelai wonders
"yeah she's excited!" Brenda tells her
"awe that's good." Lorelai says
"I'm really excited for 4th grade!" Maya tells her
"that's great sweetie!" Lorelai says and smiles
"is Brady ready for 7th grade
"he is and Zoe goes into kindergarden in the fall since she will be 5 next month." Lorelai tells her
"that's great." Brenda says
"yeah, so Nate how's work?" Lorelai wonders
They all watch him holding baby Grace.
He looks up at her and smiles "it's great." he says gently and happily
Lorelai smiles "awe that's great." she says
"Momma." Zoe pulls on her sleeve
"what baby?" Lorelai answers her
"can I gwo rwde my bwike pwease?" Zoe wonders
"yeah sure sweetie, I'll go with you." Lorelai tells her
"no I'll go." Nate tells her
"you sure?" Lorelai says
"yeah." Nate says
"okay baby Nate is going to take you okay?" Lorelai tells her
"otay!" Zoe says and gets up and goes over to her bike getting her helmet off her handle bars
Nate kisses Graces head softly handing her back to Lorelai.
Lorelai smiles watching Nate helping Zoe put her helmet on.
"he's a great guy.' Lorelai says
"yeah he is." Brenda says and smiles
