"Mommy! I'm freezing!" I said.

"Okay sweetheart. This tom will get you to safety. His name is Oakheart." My Mother, Bluefur, meowed. She picked me up by the scruff and gave me to him.

"Mommy, aren't you coming?" Mistykit asked as mother put her beside Oakheart.

"Sweety, I can't come." She answered.

"Why not?" Stonekit asked. He's my brother.

"The camp isn't safe. You have to stay here until it is. I have to help make it safe."

"Oh, what if you get hurt?"

"I won't."

"Okay." Stonekit mewed, obviously satisfied.

"Good-bye, see you when its safe you three."

"Bye mommy." All three of us said separately. Oakheart still had me by the scruff.

After what seemed like forever, I finally said.

"I'm still cold."

That snapped Oakheart to reality.

"Oh, right. Lets go."

We walked very little. Soon, we were at safety. Oakheart put me down by a gray shecat. Oakheart talked to her in a hushed voice.

"Alright Oakheart. I'll take care of them." The shecat said.

"Thanks. Kits, this is Graypool. She2ing to look after you." Oakheart said to us.

I looked at her.

"Can we call you mommy?" I asked.

"Sure," She answered.

And with that, life trudged on.

*Three Moons Later*

"Hey Mistykit! Got your tail!" Stonekit squeaked.

"And I got yours!" I mewed, jumping on Stonekit's tail.

"Ah ha!" Mistykit mewed. When Stonekit was distracted, she jumped him.

"Hey, no fair!" He said as I helped Mistykit hold him down.

"So fair!" I squeaked.

"Mosskit and Mistykit! Let Stonekit go now!" Graypool mewed sternly. Mistykit and I got off Stonekit.

"I want to see the elders!" Stonekit said.

"But I want to see the medicine cat!" I whined.

"After the elders!" Mistykit mewed.

"Fine." I mewed.

We listened to the Elders then went to the medicine cat. Mistykit and Stonekit got kicked out.
