Hey guys! Here is my first JeanMarco fanfiction, so here is just a preview! If you guys like this, then please, PLEASE, leave comments, and I will continue to write this story, okay? Thank you so much!

Marco sat in the frigid late November air, headphones on and scarf pulled up to cover his mouth and nose. The tips of his ears and fingers stung with numb coldness. He stuffed his hands in the pockets of his trench coat as a weak attempt to warm them. He sat, huddled in the cold. The air was thin, sharp and cold, yet still at the same time. The sky was a clear blue, so bright, it could've been mistaken for a warm day to someone who hadn't been outside.

He lifted his wrist, glancing at his watch. Still time before his shift at the coffee shop started. He sighed, watching his steamy breath curl into the air like smoke, leaning back and looking at the bare trees around him. Winter was his favorite season- a time for friends and family, a time to nest up at home and stay warm, sipping away at steamy mugs of something sweet and the smell of pine and cinnamon in the air everywhere you went. Even in big cities in New York, it felt so easy to be lost in the feeling of the season, and everything felt a little more private.

The park he currently sat in was practically empty. Anyone outside was rushing to find somewhere warm to go to, and probably thought that the freckled boy was crazy to be sitting outside in such cold weather, but Marco loved it. He thought he was all alone, when-

"Is this seat taken?"

His warm brown eyes shifted to his left, noticing for the first time that another man had been standing there.

"O-Oh- Of course! Go ahead-" Marco said, scooting over and looking back down with a sigh, A little upset that the perfect, fragile silence had been broken, but somewhat interested with this new stranger. There were plenty other empty benches here, why sit next to him?

"Thanks!" The other said, sitting down. He was wearing a long black coat, boots, and a scarf as well. "Wow… It's absolutely freezing, huh?"

"Y-Yeah… I guess…."

Marco nuzzled further into his scarf, avoiding eye contact. He was extremely shy, and didn't know how to talk to new people without a friend there to help him.

They sat in silence for a while, Marco shivering softly from the cold on occasion. Before the other spoke up.

"… I'm Jean." He said with a small smile, glancing over at the freckled boy. He held out a hand for a hand shake. Marco nervously glanced from the other' s hand to his eyes.

He had warm eyes, a kind smile… and for some reason, Marco didn't feel afraid. He didn't feel as nervous as he usually did, and he decided to take a chance.

Taking a hand out from one of his pockets, Marco took Jean's hand in his own.

"…H-Hi Jean… I… I'm Marco."

Alright, there you go, just a preview. If I get some comments, then I'll continue! Alright? Thanks!
