Admitting Love
Jenna had grow up with the Heaps but now she is about to be Queen of the Castle. Jenna had made up her mind before she would be coroneted she would admit she loved Septimus. She needed to talk to him.
But first she needed to speak with Sarah Heap. The woman who raised her. The woman who's son Jenna liked. Jenna knocks on the Heap quarters in the castle. Sarah Heap opened it surprised.
"I though you would be getting ready", Sarah Heap says
"Can I talk to you? I need your advice before tomorrow", Jenna asks
"Of course", Sarah says going to the couch with Jenna
"Will I always be your daughter?" Jenna asks
"Yes. Silas and I will always think of you as our daughter. Jenna tell me is the coronation bring this on?" Sarah asks
"No", Jenna says
"So no nerves?" Sarah asks
"A little. How did you know Silas was the one for you?" Jenna asks
Sarah looks a little taken aback, "He is always there for me. The shoulder I could cry on. The laughter I could share with. Silas gave up his apprenticeship for me. And the way a spark flow between us. I knew he was the one that would make me happy and try to make me happy when I was down. Jenna why do you ask?" Sarah asks
"I…like someone", Jenna says
"You more than like him?" Sarah asks
"Yes. I think I love him", Jenna admits
"Then go and tell him that", Sarah says
"But it is complicated with me liking him", Jenna says
"What is complicated?" Sarah asks
"I am in love with your biological son Septimus", Jenna admits
Sarah sits in silence for a minute.
"See why it is complicated? He is basically my brother. I shouldn't be feeling like this", Jenna says
"Jenna as much as it pains me to say. But Septimus is not blood related to you. Your relationship if you both agree to one would not be frown upon. But talked about. You will have to prepare for the gossip and those others. But ask yourself this does he make you everything I said early?" Sarah asks
Jenna thought Sarah would be mad at her but she wasn't. Jenna felt warm love for her adopted mother.
"He makes me all those things and more. I love him. I love him", Jenna admits
"Then go and tell him. You have Silas and I's approval. We love you Jenna. Even when you are going to be Queen tomorrow. Talk to Septimus. Best do it before the coronation", Sarah suggests
Jenna hugs Sarah tightly
"Thank you. Thank you for taking me in. Thank you for treating me as part of your family. Thank you for being a person I can talk too", Jenna says, "I love you"
"I love you too. Now go and admit to Septimus that you love him. Make it clear you are admitting your love. Sometimes boys have trouble in this situation. Making things clear and clearing the air will go a long way to the answer you wanting Septimus to give", Sarah says
"Thank you. I will go and find him now", Jenna says
"Good luck. But I don't think you'll need it", Sarah says
Jenna quickly hurries through the castle to find Septimus. Admitting her love for Septimus to Sarah was difficult but she did it. How hard was it going to be to tell Septimus?
