Edit: Fixed two mistakes. Re-enjoy!

Ty-Lee stared out the window of her room. She had been in the circus for a whole year now and loved every minute of it. All the animals she got to meet, the people she preformed for…

She sighed and looked up at the moon. Nighttime always found Ty-Lee sad during the past year. She loved the daytime a lot; so bright and cheerful, chances of seeing rainbows, but she had enjoyed the night in the Fire Nation because of…him.

He had been a closer friend to her than Azula and Mai had ever been. She liked him because he was different.

Like her.

She had grown up with sisters that looked exactly like her. Whenever they were introduced to new people, everyone grouped them together as if they were the same person. They assumed they were the same as each other. Ty-Lee wasn't. She was different. Just like him. He was his true self around her and had entrusted all his secrets to her.

But they could only meet at night.

Because, unlike her, he couldn't express how different he was to other people. While Ty-Lee tried to make sure everyone knew that she wasn't at all like her sisters, he couldn't show his true colors. Ty-Lee could never tell any one about him. She also didn't blame him for keeping hidden. They did things together not many other guys do.

They would paint their nails, braid hair, put makeup on; and it all started when she was 11. Two yeas ago…

Wait a second.

Ty-Lee leapt from the window to her desk. She opened up her journal to the first page to check the date. She had kept the journal from the day they started hanging out together until now. And, she realized, today was their two year anniversary from that day.

How could I forget?! Ty-Lee thought. She pulled out a piece of paper and a brush. She would write him a letter. Not a long one, he was a busy person, but enough to say 'I miss you'.

A while later, she put released the messenger hawk and it flew away with her letter. Ty-Lee smiled as if flew out of sight. She looked down at her nails. She had painted them pink in celebration of their anniversary. I wonder if he painted them, too…

"F-Fire Lord Ozai?" Ozai's head servant, Lee, took a few steps back. For some reason unknown to anyone in the palace, Fire Lord Ozai had been in a baaaaaad mood as of late. He seemed to be mad about something but even Princess Azula had no idea as to what.

Ozai glared at the terrified servant standing in his bedroom doorway. "What!" He snapped.

"Um, t-this letter just arrived for you."

"From?"

"It-it doesn't say, sir." Ozai growled and snatched the paper from the Lee's hands and said servant ran off down the hall, happy to get away.

Ozai slammed his door and looked down at the letter. The moment he opened it and saw the handwriting, his eyes softened. He sat at his desk to read it-

Dear Fire Lord Ozai,

Happy two-year anniversary. How are you?

What color are your nails?

- Ty-Lee

Ozai smiled. He thought she might have forgotten. He looked at his fingers. Pink.

I wonder if she painted them too…

Ladies and Gentlemen: The result of staying at home with a fever.

Jet: Why do all your one-shots so far with Ozai's in them show him being so OOC?

I really don't know. I was just thinking about doing a Ty-lee one shot and BAM! this happened. By the way, Ty-Lee's about 13 or so here.

Jet: She doesn't own Avatar. Or makeup and nail polish while we're on the subject.

This is a HUMOR and FRIENDSHIP story. NOT romance. This is not meant to be taken as a pairing. Hope you liked it! Did I scare you?

Jet: Why are all your OC's in these one shots named Li?

This one's name is Lee. There's a difference.

Li and Lee: No there's not.

Read and review!!! Sorry if there are mistakes but my brother wouldn't proof read it. Blame him.
