"No!" The scream of her own voice awoke her and the boy sleeping next to her
"Amu?" Ikuto asked cautiously
"W-what?" Amu stammered out in confusion
"Are you okay?" He asked Amu again. Worried
"Y-yes, I-I just had a bad dream. That's all" Amu managed to reply.
"Bad dream or memory?" Ikuto asked curiously, with slight mocking behind his voice.
"Memory, And what's it to you?" She replied. The end of her sentence ending in her usual stubbornness.
"Nothing, or would you truly like me to worry what you dream about?" He added rolling over and trying to give Amu a hug. She pushed against him, trying to stop him. But didn't have much her in tightly she laid their and gave up trying to push him off. He was just too strong for her.
"So would you? He asked her
"Would I what?" She asked sharply.
"Like me to worry about you?" He asked curiously.
"Do what you want." She replied yet again been stubborn and not letting him know that she would love it if he worried about her. He pulled her away from him and studied her face. She stared into his eyes and saw growing curiosity.
"What are you so curious about?" She asked with a stubborn tone just to make sure that he didn't realize that she was very curious as to know what he was thinking about.
"I don't know, you tell me." He replied with a slight smile on his face.
" Well I don't know so you tell me. And did you know that curiosity killed the cat?" She replied seriously.
"Amu, I'm always curious and I haven't died yet. And do I even look like a cat?" He replied just as serious.
" Well that's a good thing. And no you don't but you act like one sometimes." She replied.
"Your glad that I'm alive?" He asked working as hard as I could too keep the happiness out of his tone.
"Well your my friend, so of course I'm happy that you alive and not dead."
"I'm your friend?" He asked, but actually wanting to ask is that was how she truly saw him. Just as a friend and nothing else.
"Yeah, why don't you see me as a friend?" She asked looking slightly worried.
"Yes, I do." He lied. He liked her much more than a friend and wanted to be more than mates. And to stop her from seeing what he was feeling he turned round and faced the wall.
"Well, goodnight Amu" He said simply.
" Goodnight" She replied. Completely confused as to why he seemed so desperate to stop talking to her and go back to sleep.
