When he was young, everyone shunned
Him
No one ever acknowledged him or
Accepted him
Because he was their savior.
He had a demon-spirit within him,
Was sacrificed for the village's sake.
And instead of being the village's hero,
He was ignored and shunned.
He never knew a parent's love,
And thus did wrong things to attract attention.
Even though it was a bad type of attention,
He was acknowledged.
Just Watch Me.
One day I'll be Hokage of Konohagakure.
And one day, I will be respected at last.
I am Uzumaki Naruto. Just Watch Me.
I risked my life to save my friend.
I won't give up, not ever.
So what if I'm a little weird.
I'm always gonna be your friend.
So have some faith in me, because I have faith in you.
One day I'm gonna be Hokage.
So just watch me.

Authors Note: Another poem I created about...two years ago? I still love it, even if I wrote it when I was less experienced with Naruto, and the poem is a bit childish. It is a bit sappy, but I'm content with just the way I wrote it. Yes, the alignment of how the poem is formatted is a bit unique, but I think that it helps show the meaning of the poem better. It is first person I suppose, obviously Uzumaki Naruto speaking.
Since this is poetry and completed, I'm not going to edit it, but a word or two would be quite kind of you.
