Hello all. I'm a new user here and keeper is the best book ever. At this point in time in the story, Fitz doesn't know about Sophie's teleporting I'm more of a Sodex person, but this story called for Sofitz. I really hope you guys like this one shot. This is my first story, so be nice :p.
It was a windy morning, and Sophie had dragged Fitz to the cliff side near Havenfield for "cognate training".
"I still don't understand why we had to come here for our trust excercises," Fitz said, his brow furrowed.
"You will see soon enough," said Sophie, trying to sound somber and moody.
"Are you alright?" Fitz asked, concerned, as he leaned in closer to Sophie. Sophie blushed...hard.
Isn't it so cute how Fitz makes Sophie feel. Anyway back to the story.
"I...I'm...it's complicated" Sophie conceded, trying to keep up the charade.
"Sophie what's wrong?" Fitz asked, his voice starting to sound very worried.
"You know what? I'm done. I'm done with the Black Swan, The Neverseen, everything." Sophie said starting to move towards the edge of the cliff.
"Sophie-" Fitz started to say. Sounding desperate, but before he could say anything else, Sophie jumped.
"No..." He called out, his voice cracking with anguish. He crumpled to the ground and started rocking back and forth. I should have talked to her. I should have tried to see her feelings before she broke down, he thought in between his slight sniffles.
Suddenly, he felt feather light hands rest on his shoulders. "Miss me?" A sing-song voice called out from behind him.
Fitz whirled around, and caught Sophie in a tight embrace.
"Never do that again," Fitz softly whispered into her ear. "I can never beartolose you"
