For an apparently easy pairing, this was slightly difficult. I wish I had more time to make this better before submission, but I guess a drabble will have to do. Grr uni, grr.
Anyway. Enjoy. ^_^

He was there to protect her when it mattered. She'd waited her whole life without much hope for someone to want to protect her, to not fear her, and finally she had found it.
She hadn't been expecting that someone to be a Priest, but who was she to complain?
Forgiveness. He wanted forgiveness, acceptance. The city was in ruin, so many were dead, she was almost dead, and he wanted her forgiveness. If she had the energy she would've smiled. But she knew she was dying as she had come close enough times to recognise this as the real thing and considering how her end could have come, she was happy that it was going to be able to help him.
'Lord Seto,' she reached out to him. You already have it. 'Let me protect you with the light of my spirit.' She knew that the darkness would come to claim him; already she could see it advancing towards them. He was ambitious, twisted, possessed. Beyond redemption. Seto would not follow in his footsteps, father or no. Not if she could help it.
"Seto!" the Dark One cried out. "You are destined to be king!"
Her Guardian Spirit allowed her to see what was going on as the Dark One staggered towards them and finally Seto woke up to his presence. Her strength was almost gone; she defiantly wasn't going to be able to hold on for much longer. Her Guardian was there to protect her, like she always had, but this time it wouldn't be enough. She would sacrifice herself for him, the only human who had noticed her and tried to protect her. She wanted to repay the favour and if the truth were told, she was afraid to die. Her Spirit didn't want to die either. Together they would become immortal, and protect the one that needed protecting. The Dark One would return, the Pharaoh was dead and gone; sealed away until he was needed again. She would follow in his footsteps as she had no one waiting for her on the other side, he was still here. And she wasn't sure how the Gods would view her, if they would see her as an abomination like everyone else did, or if they thought she was something worse. She couldn't take that risk, she wouldn't die.
The Dark One sealed her away in the tablet as her life finally gave out, but her Guardian waited, sealing her in the tablet with her. She fought, but still they waited. In some other time they would face the Pharaoh, but they would have to wait for that. She watched and waited. Slowly time began to pass.
He changed. He thrived as Pharaoh but he'd been changed. Ever since the day she sacrificed herself he'd been different. Not that she regretted it for one moment; she just wished that she could still be with him and not have to watch from a far. But that wasn't possible and she knew it.
He wasn't the only who was suffering. Everyone had lost something or someone that day, for there had been many casualties. She was thankful that she'd played a small role in the prevention of even more horror, even if it was only temporary. The Dark One wouldn't return for many years, his own strength was depleted. So she was content to watch, protect, and then wait. Wait until she was needed again, for their destiny wasn't over. The White Dragon, Seto, and her, they were bounded together and destined to play out this battle again. And after a life of helplessness, she was only too happy to help. And three thousand years later, she was there for him again.
And this time she was the one protecting him.
