I am a 20th century rock star
Dancing around the stage
I am what I see
Eternal night's stars
Bared necks
Pointed teeth
Velvet lined coffins
Heavy stone sarcophagi
Simple pits in the dirt
I am what I hear
Others thoughts
Beating hearts
Last breaths
I am what I feel
Wind through my hair
Teeth piercing veins
Moonlights cold embrace
Warmth leaving bodies
I am what I taste
Bloods hot red gush over my lips
Healing me, restoring me, giving me life
And what I remember
Long hair and frock coats
My last sunrise
My first drink
And what I've been taught
Don't drink from the dead
Sunlight will kill you
Beware of flames
I am what I think
A monster
Cursed
Blessed
And I am all these things
I'm like a coward
Scared of death
But perhaps one day I'll step out
Into the sun
And finally be free
Because I could live forever
