I Do Care
A one-shot between Breezpelt and Hollyleaf. This is my first story so please no flames.
"why me." "why did I have to be half clan."Breezpelt thought as he stood on the cliff that overlooked the lake. "everyone hates me, I don't have a mate because none of the cats in my clan like or even care about me." "why should I even stay alive."
The one cat I love will never love me back."Breezpelt thought as he moved closer to the edge of the cliff. "I should just end it, jump off the cliff and just end it, no more suffering, no more cats calling me a filthy half-clan cat
. Breezpelt was so preoccupied with his thoughts that he didn't hear the cat that was walking up to him until she sat down next to him. What's wrong Breezpelt, Hollyleaf asked when she saw the sadness that clouded his eyes. "I'm going to jump" he said "no one cares if I live or die, and I don't have a mate or kits so what's the point of going on if I have nothing and no one to live for .
He walked closer to the edge of the cliff, Hollyleaf saw this and quickly moved between him and the edge and said. "what about your parents, they care about you. No they don't, my father was some cat from shadowclan who doesn't even care that I'm his son, and my mom lied to me, Crowfeather and all the clans and said Crowfeather was my father. Breezpelt said with tears in his eyes, as he tried to get past hollyleaf, she held her ground however." I'm not going to let you kill yourself when there is one cat who cares about you." Hollyleaf said.
"Really , who." He asked. " She looked into his amber eyes and said, me, I care if you live or die Breezpelt." Shocked at what he just heard her say he asked "why?" Hollyleaf looked deep into his eyes and said. Because…b-because, she stammered, because I-I love you Breezpelt, I have loved you ever since we went to the mountains together, Hollyleaf said, with tears in her eyes .
Breezpelt was so shocked that he almost fell backwards off the cliff. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think that Hollyleaf actually loved him back." W-w-what d-did you j-just say, he stammered." I said I love you and I always will Breezpelt, she said as she looked deep into his amber eyes."
After almost a minute of looking into Hollyleafs green pools his eyes brightened and he said "hollyleaf you don't know how long I have wanted to hear you say that." "I love you too, he said then he licked her cheek and asked , " Hollyleaf will you be my mate?" After he asked this Hollyleaf looked into his eyes and he did the same with hers. " Yes of course I will be your mate." She said. He looked into her eyes and said "Thank you hollyleaf."He smiled and they left the lake to start their new lives together.
