(A/N: This poem was inspired by (and is dedicated to) a few of the non-Christian people I've met here at FF.net. They probably know who they are, but I don't know if they'd want their names put here. Some of them I've had no communication with, but I've read their reviews and writings and I thought of them when I wrote this poem…
Oh, and one thing: I don't want to get flamed just because I'm a Christian. Frankly, it just makes the reviewer look stupid. If you are non-Christian and you do have something *useful* to say, that's quite welcome.)

A Question

I asked a question of
My intelligent mom
(She's a Sunday school teacher).
I asked her the question
'Cause I was too scared
To ask the preacher.

"Mom, why is it
That so many try,
But can't seem to find God?
He said He'd show
Himself to us, so
Doesn't that seem odd?"

She told me that
God's always true
But we have to be strong.
"Those who feel lost
Are just the ones
The devil wants for wrong.

"Satan doesn't want
To let them go
For purposes his own,
But if they PERSIST
In seeking Christ
He will make Himself known."

I asked what those
Seekers should do
To help them find their Lord.
She said they should try
To read the Bible
(Even if it makes them bored).

"Don't underestimate
The devil, as he's really
Quite the smart one.
He's cruelly happier
Every time, for each
Foolish human heart won.

"He has a lot of power:
If you don't believe,
You're in great danger;
But his power's
Only a deathly one
If to religion you're a stranger.

"God will always help
If you just call
Upon His holy name.
Your life on earth
May be miserable
But you'll be spared *ETERNAL* flame."
