End
Couple: Takari
Summary: It's just the two of them. It's something she could live with.
Warning: Alluding to...things...
Disclaimer: Own Digimon? I wish.
Notes: Re-introducing myself to Digimon to work on Rainfall. It can be placed as an open ending to Rainfall, but really just something I wrote because I know the Takari community wants to kill me. I wuv you all? Don't hurt me! I'll write more drabbles!
She closes her eyes and snuggles into her warm pillow. If she does just that she can't hear the world outside, and they can't be bothered by her next project, meeting or conference call. It's just the two of them.
It's something she could live with.
His arms wrap around her body, holding tightly onto her like she'll disappear at any moment. And she's fine with it. Because she sometimes wonders if he'll wake up to see her faults and leave her.
She knows she's got self-esteem issues, but she loves him so much. She loved him so much before, and he broke her. She can't deal with that a second time. Not again. She'd fall to pieces and never recover. And most likely leave leave and never come back.
That might explain why Taichi threatened his life.
But she loves him beyond words and could spend the rest of her life in his arms and never regret moving. That's why she came tearing home those two years ago. That's why she wears his ring on her finger. That's why she has his last name.
And that's why she's carrying his child.
The business world with her. And she'll stay here, at home with her family. She'll cook, clean, take care of them. And she won't complain. Because this is her happily ever after.
And she wants it. She lifts her mouth to his, capturing his lips in a soul searing kiss. He doesn't know he's going to be a daddy, but she wants to tell him with a camera ready. Because his reaction will be beyond hilarious, she know it. She breaks the kiss and stares into his eyes.
Yea, she wants this.
His baby blues turn mischievous and he pounces. He tickles her, making her laugh and gasp for her own breath. She loves him so much it makes her heart ache in a good way. People (Taichi) say it only gets better. How can it get better than this? She has no clue.
She always has.
"Takeru," she gasps through her laughter. Immediately the tickling stops, and he's kissing her again. "Hikari," he murmurs between kisses. It's getting heated between them, and she knows it won't hurt the baby. God, it's going to be three of them soon. It's so perfect.
She just never knew it.
