Taran and Eilonwy were gathering Easter baskets.

"Where are we going?" Creeper asked curiously.

"On an Easter egg hunt, Creeper," Eilonwy replied.

"You're basically finding eggs," Taran pointed out.

"It's quite fun," Fflewddur Fflam chimed in.

"Gurgi loves eggs!" Gurgi cried.

Hen Wen, the little piglet gave Creeper the smile that meant "you're going to love Easter".

Creeper picked her up like a baby and rubbed her belly. He was about to place her in his basket of hay when Taran warned, "Creeper, don't put her inside."

"It's for the eggs," Eilonwy said.

Creeper set her back down and pet her head.

Taran and Eilonwy set their hands on Creeper's shoulders.

"What is Easter?" he asked.

"We'll tell you on the way," Taran replied.

"It's about our Lord rising again," Taran told Creeper.

"But what happened to Him at first?" Creeper asked. He can be full of questions.

"He died when being nailed to the cross on Good Friday a long time ago," Eilonwy said.

"Oh, no!" Gurgi whimpered, dreading the thought of someone who could get killed in such a way.

Even Hen Wen was a bit disturbed.

"What for?" Creeper said, feeling concerned.

"He didn't do anything wrong," Fflewddur Fflam replied, trying to reason with the terrified goblin. "He died for our sins but He did not forgive his murderers for doing this to Him without remorse, and neither did His Father. Fortunately, they do not tell us to, either." As cold as it sounded, there was no doubt that he made his point.

"That makes sense," Creeper said because lucky for him, he had no reason to forgive the Horned King for abusing him without any concept of remorse whatsoever and he did not tell his friends to, either, which meant he partially did them a favor.

Eilonwy chose to change the subject. "Ready for that Easter egg hunt?" she asked.

"It's about time!" Creeper said, relieved that the story was over, yet he was happy that the Lord had risen again.

Hen Wen found a pink egg lying in the grass.

"Taran, I think Hen Wen found an egg," Eilonwy said as she and Taran walked over to where the piglet found the egg.

"Good girl, Hen," Taran said, petting Hen Wen behind the ears.

Creeper found a green egg. "Pig boy! I mean, Taran! I found an egg!" he shouted, showing the prince the egg.

Gurgi, who stumbled upon an Easter egg was licking his chops. "Mmm…munchings and crunchings!" He was about to eat it when his friends shouted, "Gurgi!"

"Oh, poor miserable Gurgi gets no munchings and crunchings," Gurgi wailed sorrowfully. Then, he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"We'll get some when we get home," Eilonwy assured him, much to his relief.

"Then you'll have all the munchings and crunchings you can eat," Taran said with a wink.

"What do you say, Gurgi?" Fflewddur Fflam asked.

Creeper hugged Gurgi, while Hen Wen nuzzled with him.

"You mean it?" Gurgi asked.

"We're not barbarians," Creeper replied.

"Yay! Gurgi's happy day!"

Then, they continued to hunt for more eggs before bringing them home.

By the time they got home, Dalhben had candy and rabbits all set for them. "Welcome back, Taran," he greeted warmly, "I see you, the princess, Hen Wen, and your other friends went out for an Easter egg hunt."

"Yes, Dalhben," replied Taran, setting a basket full of eggs on the table, "We found a lot."

Everyone started to set down theirs to show proof.

"I brought each of you a gift," Dalhben remarked, handing Taran, Eilonwy, Creeper, Fflewddur, and Gurgi a rabbit with a bow. He saved the last for Hen Wen.

The rabbit and Hen Wen made quick friends and rubbed noses against each other.

"Gurgi loves bunnies!" said Gurgi.

"I think he likes me!" Creeper exclaimed, feeling touched by the little rabbit's love and they had a wonderful Easter.

The End

Happy Easter!
