Sookie slammed the door, and turned around crying. She swore that she would never talk to Bill again. He tricked her into loving him, that pathetic sack of blood. Maybe Sam was right all along, maybe vampires were nothing but trouble. She didn't even care anymore, she had a crazy day, but when had she ever had a normal day with Bill? But today was even more hectic then normal. Finding out that she was a fairy, realizing that the vampire she "fell in love with," actually lied to her. Everything was lies. All of it. All she needed to do know was lay her head down and sleep.
"Sookie." She heard someone call. She lifted her head off her pillow.
"Sookie." This time she knew the voice. Eric. Great, all she needed right now was to be having another sex dream about Eric. When will his stupid blood wear off. She saw him standing next to the window, in his tight, blue v-neck sweater. The way he wore it was almost unfair. She knew she would never say it, but he looked way better than Bill ever would.
"What do you want?" she snapped at him.
"I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I mean considering that the man you love paid to have you beat within inches of your life, only so he could feed you his blood…"
"You already told me this story, remember! I don't need a constant reminder of how stupid I am, to ever think that anyone would ever fall in love with me." She said on the verge of tears.
"Are you really that naïve? You are simply irresistible. Intoxicating, and I'm not even talking about your blood. Just your smell, your smile, the way you wear that red Fangtasia shirt to bed."
"Wait, how do you know about that?"
"Sookie Stackhouse, I know more about you than you do. I am always watching out for you, because heaven knows that Bill could never keep you safe. I couldn't bear anything happen to you."
"Don't think for one second that I believe you have a heart. I used to believe there was good in you, that there was something, but now I just don't know if I should believe that, because you sure as hell never show me that there is anything in there besides blood and hate."
"You're right, maybe there is nothing inside me worth loving, but you still love me, I know you do. Even if you can't say it, you know it's there. And I know that every time I see you, I am mesmerized and that I dream about you, and that I have never, ever felt this way toward any human, or any vampire, ever before. You awoke this feeling inside of me that I thought was long gone. When we kissed in my office, my lips tingled. Not from thirst, but from love. If you don't believe me, or don't feel the same way, that's my greatest loss. But I will never stop feeling this way about you." Then he turned away.
"Eric," Sookie whispered, "This isn't how my dreams usually go, I mean I didn't even kiss you."
"Are you upset about that." He asked grinning
"Ew gross"
"It's not a dream Sookie, you are awake, and I am in love with you, but you are in love with Bill. That is my horrible reality. But, since you insisted." He grabbed the back of her head and pulled her in for a long passionate kiss. OF course, Sookie was trying to pull away, but he needed her to know how he really felt. He needed her to know that there was still something worth loving inside of him.
"Let yourself go." He whispered, and pulled her tighter. Then, she stopped fighting him. She let herself go. And it was so amazing, that even Eric had to question if he was dreaming.
Sookie knew that she had always loved Eric. He had always been there for her, saving her. And she knew ever since that day that Godric met the True death, that there was good inside Eric, and that he was worth loving. Worth fighting for. But she didn't need to fight, he was right there. All she had to do was follow her heart. So that's exactly what she did. And every thought of Bill was erased from her mind.
