AN: So this is my first fanfic. Please be kind, and enjoy!
This is just the musings of Callum while he read Sephy's letter. I felt that I would've loved to have read that part; it just seems like a reaction worth reading.
Enjoy! :D
Saturday had been interesting. I had met a few people from the LM, and got my rank: tea boy. I guess I'll be keeping my head down, just like mum asked. I guess I should visit her one last time, shouldn't I? Who knows how long it'll be before I can visit her again. Maybe years.
"Hello?" I ask as I open the door. Aunt Charlotte always leaves the door unlocked. It's not like she has anything valuable to steal. I guess mum and her went out. I notice the letter from Sarah on the-
That's Sephy's handwriting.
As I read, every word cuts deep, knowing what could have been. Had I come an hour earlier, heck, fifteen minutes earlier, I could be living with Sephy. But now, all I can do is run. I look around, grab my bag, and run. Run like I've never ran before. As if my life depended on it. As if my life with Sephy depended on it. Because it did.
Fifteen minutes left, Callum.
I pass the bus garage, and see where I spent my whole stupid day, when I could have read the letter. A fiery need fills me, to reach Sephy before two o'clock. Before she left me forever for Chivers, and I left her forever for the LM.
Ten minutes left.
"Ow!" a lady yells, as I run past her, pushing her down. People are watching me, Crosses all thinking that I'm a criminal, it's written all over their faces. But I can't stop and help her up. I have to get to Sephy. Before she leaves forever. I just keep on going, ignoring everyone.
Five minutes left.
I finally can see her house, in the distance. I run to the rose garden, running faster than I thought possible. I keep going, and then I see it: Sephy getting into her car, about to drive off. The door closes just before I start yelling, a good kilometre away.
"SEPHY!" I yell. Please God, let her have heard me. I keep running towards the car, when the driver finally notices me. He noticeably speeds up, but I don't care. I'd follow that car to hell and back. But then I hit the asphalt, and hear the car speed up much more.
It sounds like crushed dreams.
I'm so sorry Sephy...
