A/N- this is coming late but I just finished re-watching Not What It Looks Like and this idea just popped into mii head! HOPE YOU LOVE IT p.s. this is also with the lost kiss so bc of that kiss they r together rite now.
FLASHBACK!
"Who are you?!" Mosi Gehtti screamed at Lindsay.
"She's been made!" Danny yelled to Stella and Flack. He was running so fast that he was barely able to understand what Flack and Stella had said let alone understand what was happening around him. All Danny Messer knew was that HIS partner, HIS Lindsay, HIS Montana, was in trouble and he needed to see her. To hold her while she was hurt. To have his shoulder there if she needed it to cry on. But he needed her THE most!
After they heard the flash bomb go off, the swat team was in front busting down the door followed by Flack and Stella who went after the two men with the guns on Lindsay and Dana. Danny went in after all of them but not after the two men, but after Lindsay.
"LINDSAY!"
No answer
"LINDSAY!"
Finally he heard her voice and she answered him back. "DANNY!" he ran over to where her voice was coming from. He helped her up, and got her on her feet. She was holding her head. He put his hands over them to check her over if anything on her was hurt. She wasn't hurt that at all, except for the ringing in her ears. He pulled her too him into a protective hug and she clutched her hands to his vest. He pulled back to ask if she was ok and she shuck her head yes and pulled her back into another protective hug. He picked her up and took her outside to get checked by a paramedic. He placed her down on her bed and put the blanket's over her. Thinking she was asleep he was about to walk out of her room and leave her a note in case she woke up wondering how she went from being at a crime scene to being in her apartment. He would've done all that for her if she hadn't grabbed her wrist.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"I didn't know that you were awake and that you possibly wanted me to stay." He said as he bent down to rub her head from where she fell on it.
"I want you to stay. I don't want to be alone." She said with tears coming to her eyes.
"Okay I'll stay. Just let me go and lock up and I'll be back." He said to her.
END OF FLASHBACK
"So that's how I ended up in your arms this morning? By all of that?" she asked as they were sitting down for breakfast at the diner down the street from her place.
"Yup. That's basically it. We got the guys who did it and the other two girls are going to jail." He said.
"Thank you, Danny. For what you did. You didn't have to bring me home last night. I could've gotten home by myself. Thank you." she said leaning on the table to get closer to him.
"I wanted to." Leaning closer to her. And once they were close enough they reached even further to get their lips touching in a heated kiss that wasn't too heated for a public place but a little more heated then they would do at work.
"I'll never let you go. Remember that Lindsay." Danny said as they came up for air.
"I love you." she said.
He looked into her eyes and saw the love that they have been holding onto since they first had met. "I love you too, Linds."
