Princess had felt empty after her son left her. Yes, she knew she really wanted him to be a Clan cat like Fireheart, but it pained her to see him go. She did not even know if they were going to visit her.
A moon passed, but no sign of Fireheart and her son. One morning she sat on the fence, when a pale ginger tabby appeared. At first she thought he was her brother, but it turned out he was a artist of Fireheart's Clan, ThunderClan, but not Fireheart himself.
She invited him to chat, and she learned things about him. She told him her name was Princess, he said he was Frogflight. She told him about life as a house cat, and she told her about the life of a Clan cat.
As the sun began to set, Frogflight promised he would be back in the morning if she waited for him. She woke up the next day just before dawn and sat out on the fence, and as promised, Frogflight came.
Princess talked to him every day, for he always came. Soon friendship turned into love, and one day he stayed with her as the sun set. Princess asked him why he did not leave, and Frogflight told her he loved her. She eagerly told him she felt the same, and that night, they slept together in her yard under the stars.
They continued this forbidden affair for many moons. They were meant for each other, after all. After three moons of being mates, Frogflight asked her if she would like to have kits with him. And that night, they mated under the stars.
After moons of being pregnant, Princess gave birth to one tom-kit and insisted Frogflight take him back to ThunderClan. He agreed, and thus, Shrewkit was introduced to the Clan.
Moons passed by, and Frogflight and Princess were still passionate mates. But one morning, the exhausted Frogflight came to her as usual, for she was waiting for him as she always did. He told her that Shrewpaw had been killed by the Twolegs that were destroying ThunderClan territory. They cried together all day and he stayed with the grieving queen all night.
A few days later, Frogflight announced to his dear mate that ThunderClan and the other three Clans were leaving. She cried, but he told her he was becoming a kittypet with her. Because he could not leave his beloved Princess.
They lived together until they died, for they had an unbreadable love.
