Step-by-Step
Rodney was rubbing his shoulders soothingly. "It's okay if you're not ready for this you know."
John looked up at him. "Yeah, but you want to."
Rodney shook his head, exasperated. "I don't want to do anything you don't want to do, I'll admit the idea is hotter than hell but if you don't want it then it doesn't matter."
John buried his face in his hands. "It shouldn't be a big deal."
Rodney just looked at him. "Why not?" He asked softly. "It's letting someone inside you in an extremely intimate way and if you're not ready for that then that's fine and perfectly understandable."
John gestured violently in exasperation. "But why am I okay with everything else we've done but I'm not okay with this?"
"Hey." Rodney caught his chin and forced John to meet his eyes. "Does it matter?"
"You honestly don't mind?"
"No. I wouldn't do that with the first guy I went out with or the second, or the third. When I finally did it was…"
John didn't look at him. "Are you just saying that?"
"No! Look, if you're not ready to let me kiss you then that's completely, absolutely fine, John. Now, get back on the bed and let me blow you."
