Drop by drop the rain started falling on the peaceful countryside. The
pathway that lay in the middle of the wide plain was lost in the foot of a
low mountain group far away. No sign of life could be seen since all living
creatures were hiding, sheltering themselves from the rain. until soft
footsteps on the fresh grass were heard. The lone figure walking towards
the tiny village that lay on the foot of the mountain didn't seem bothered
by the rain. He looked ahead at the sunset behind the mountains. It was a
spectacular sight: rarely scattered clouds were shining all golden and fire
red, creating rays of sunlight streching towars the darkening green blue
sky. A star or two were faintly twinkling farther away.
"What a beautiful evening", the young man thought as he turned his gazed from the first star of the coming night back to the crimson sun disappearing behind the mountain.
He was a sight to be seen himself. His long crimson hair tied loosely on the back resembled the color of the dying sun. Strands of hair were glowing fire red with the sunlight as they were brushed by a soft breeze. His face was young and smooth, the only flaw being a large scar on his right cheek in the shape of an X. With his deep blue eyes, he almost looked beautiful. One could easily mistake this short young man to be a late teenager at first sight, however the expression in his eyes revealed that he had lived through much more than that. He had a powerful aura that spoke of kindness and strenght at the same time. And the sword he was carrying at his side made it clear that he was no ordinary person.
The light summer rain had stopped as he kept his eyes on the darkening redness that the sun left behind.
"It's disappearing into the darkness." he thought, faintly aware of a memory of a distant past. His kind expression was almost sorrowful. He looked back at the twinkling star. Now there were a few other stars shining around it. He sighed, "Well, it's going to be a very beautiful night, that is for sure." He continued walking on the narrow pathway towards the village, as the dark blue night slowly dominated over the skies above him.

This is my first fiction ever. I had been thinking about writing a fic about Kenshin but could never managed to start. Then suddenly I was inspired. I don't know how the story will continue, I'll see when I continue writing. This is not really a chapteras you see, it's too short, it's only a start. I've just realized how much time it takes to write a story! So it's gonna be a while until I complete this chapter. I don't know whether you'll like it but I intend to continue writing as much time as I have. I enjoyed this stuff! It's basically going to be a romance/drama. Thanks for your time!
