Song Inspiration: When I Get Home, You're So Dead by Mayday Parade

Disclaimer: I don't own anything. It's so sad.

Walking into the club, his eyes instantly began scanning the room. Eyes landing on his target, he trudged forward. As he approached the bar, he heard murmurs from the people dancing and those just passing by. They all said the same thing, how could she do such a thing to him? He ignored every single one of these. They didn't know everything about their relationship. They weren't the people involved in this, may it be the first, second or even the third party.

Upon reaching the bar, he tapped her on the shoulder. "Come on, Miles. We need to get home." She rolled her eyes and turned back to the guy she was talking to. He tapped her shoulder again. This time she ignored him. He kept on poking her, until she got really annoyed and couldn't stand it anymore.

"What?" She huffed.

"Miles, come on. We have to get home. Haley and James are waiting for us." Shane said, referring to the 3 and 4 year old he left at home in the care of their aunt Lilly and Uncle Oliver.

"Shane, can't you see I'm on a date!" Miley shrieked, causing a few people to turn their heads in their direction.

"Miles, lower your voice. You don't want to cause a scene, now do you? Let's go." Shane urged her to get off the barstool and gently pulled on her arm.

Her 'date' took this as his cue. "Dude, she said she didn't want to go. I think you should let this pretty lady be." They guy intervened between the couple.

"Well, Dude," Shane spat in his face. "I think I can help my WIFE decide what's best for her." Shane took a step closer to the guy, knuckles turning white.

"Dean, no. He's not worth it." Miley said, pulling Dean from Shane. Shane noticed this gesture. She used to do this when they we still… you know, in love. She did this when he was being protective of her at clubs when weird, gross and old men would hit on her. It hurt him to see that she didn't do that anymore. Maybe she didn't love him anymore.

Shane shook his head. "Fine, if that's the way it's going to be. When you get home, expect me and the children not to be there."

Miley's eyes showed hints of guilt, love and pain but he didn't see anything else. She raised her eyebrows disbelievingly. "You wouldn't do that. You couldn't do that. You love me too much."

"Don't be so full of yourself. What happened to you? You were amazing when we first got married. That was just 6 years ago. Now, you're just a simple little whore."

Miley visibly flinched when he said that. Shane knew that it hurt, especially coming from him. It only took her a few seconds to recover. She turned her back to him and continued talking to her date like nothing happened.

Shane walked away, a sad look on his face. Pulling out his phone, he dialed a familiar number. After a few rings, the person picked up.

"Jason? Can you do me a favor? Can you pick up Miley from this club later? She's doing it again. Take her home. Lilly and Oliver would be there. I'm taking the kids for a few days vacation, just until Miley's sober. Thanks Jase, I knew I could count on you. I'll text you the address of the club. Okay, Bye."

Walking out of the club, he heard footsteps behind him. He knew whose it was, he just didn't look back. He heard that person softly whisper his name but still he didn't look back. Opening his car door, he quickly got in and started the engine. He headed straight into the dark road, not waiting for Miley to catch up. Looking into his side view mirrors, he saw her standing there, alone with eyes full of regret. He left her standing there in the middle of the dark road, just with her haunting conscience and her unsettling thoughts.
