Paul was never one for his brother having other friends. The six-year-old easily got jealous, though he didn't know that was the word for it. All he knew was he wanted his brother to pay attention to him and only him, not that weird girl with the pink hair. And he had a plan to get his brother's attention back on him.

Reggie and the pink-haired girl were in the living room chatting and watching TV. Paul stood in the doorway clutching his Turtwig plush to his chest, glaring at the girl. She wasn't even watching the TV!

The little boy waddled over quickly and stared at his brother. It past as more of a glare, but that was not the intention. "What's up, little buddy?" Reggie asked. He scooped the boy up and set him in his lap. Paul tossed himself back against Reggie's chest and jammed his thumb in his mouth. "What'cha need?" Reggie asked, unfazed by the boy's weird behavior.

"Nothin'," Paul grumbled.

The girl giggled, "Reg, your brother is adorable," she commented. Paul squished himself further down in Reggie's lap, which made his brother and the girl laugh.

"Paul," Reggie called, running a hand through Paul's long bangs, "we can play later. I'm kinda busy right now, little brother."

Paul grunted and flipped around, hugging his brother's neck and refusing to let go. "Not leaving!"

Reggie went wide-eyed and he looked to his guest, "Um, he's not usually like this…" he tried to explain. Paul smacked the back of his head with his Turtwig toy then squeezed his neck tighter. "I-I don't know what he's doing."

Paul sat back, slumping in his brother's lap and just staring. He looked over at the girl, who waved awkwardly. He jammed his thumb back in his mouth and curled up against Reggie. He never took his eyes off the girl, who seemed the least confused of the two teens.

"I think your brother's jealous of me," she said with a giggle.

"What?" Reggie said with confusion in his voice. He looked down at Paul, who just kept glaring forward and strangling his Turtwig. "Paul?"

"Not leaving!" Paul growled. He buried his face in his brother's stomach and brought his knees to his face, squishing his toy.

The girl excused herself, which made Paul very happy. He looked up at Reggie with a goofy smile, only to be met with a look of both confusion and annoyance.

"Paul, what's gotten into you?" Reggie asked. He held his brother away from himself so he could properly talk to the boy without him hiding.

"Mine!" Paul whined, grabbing for Reggie. He swung his legs around and swiped at Reggie, trying to get closer.

"Paul, calm down!" Reggie fussed. Paul eventually got loose of the hold and slunk back down against Reggie, this time sure to lock his fists in the folds of Reggie's shirt.

"Mine…" Paul whimpered into his brother's chest.

"Hey, Reg, I think I'm going to head home," the girl said.

" 'kay, Maylene," Reggie said. "Don't forget Riolu!" The girl said her goodbye and was out the door, much to Paul's utter relief. Reggie sighed and picked up Paul, who protested being carried. "You're such a jealous little kid," he laughed.

"Nuh-uh!" Paul shouted. That was hard to believe when he didn't let go of Reggie for the rest of the afternoon, even to feed the pokemon. Nothing was going to take his brother's attention away, not if Paul had anything to say about it!

Please stop me. Save me.
