It has been 38 years since Phineas and Ferb created their elaborate inventions. They had gone off to separate colleges, had a falling out, and became completely isolated.
Phineas being the outspoken one of the group, fled Ferb and had become the eye of many for his smart and affable nature, but he wasn't truly happy. He was nostalgic of the contraptions he had built and the memories he shared with his sexual and inventional partner Ferb.
Phineas had resorted to drugs. He eventually took enough drugs that the creative and smart segment of his brain was destroyed.
"Oh, my sweet Ferb!" Phineas shouted at a framed picture of his suddenly once again beloved brother, "When shall I see you again?"
Phineas put the picture in his desk and broke into a horrendous sob. His eyes were watering and the water pooled onto the mat.
He had no job, no family. Phineas realized that he would have to resort to something drastic; he would have to contact Ferb. He could get his life back on track and get cleaned up.
With a sudden jolt of enthusiasm, Phineas sprung up. "I will call him, I sure will!" He preached to himself, "Get myself out of this rut!"
It had been so long since Phineas had been in contact with Ferb. Neither of them had cell phones, or at least he would have changed his number. Phineas called the house he had grew up in, where last time he checked, Candace his older sister had built her life.
At the Flynn household, Candace and Jeremy were having sex. "Oh yeah, baby," Candace screamed, "I just booked a flight to go see my mother in Florida next summer."
"Good for you," Jeremy said pessimistically. "Now can we please get back on track?"
"Oh, yeah." Candace stated.
The phone in the master bedroom sprung to life. Candace and Jeremy were very surprised and lurched backward suddenly. Candace put her contact lenses in.
"Who could that be," she wondered, "Ferb maybe?"
She cleared her throat and picked up the phone. She was shocked.
"PHINEAS?!" Candace shouted, "Why are you calling, I thought you'd never return, I- I'm speechless.."
"Yeah, hi, Candace Good to hear you and all," he replied in a rushed tone. "Listen," Phineas began wanting to get right to the point, "Do you have Ferb's phone number?"
She was baffled why Phineas would speak of Ferb after what had happened. She couldn't remember, but it was bad enough to instigate this entire atrocious and petty argument. Still, Candace went and fetched her contact book. In it was Ferb's number.
Ferb had moved out of the Danville and became a mechanic in a small town in Kansas. He was on his break and the phone rang, it was Phineas.
Even Ferb forgot what their kerfuffle was over, so he answered the phone quickly.
"Yes, Phineas?"
"Get to Danville, NOW," Phineas said abruptly
"Alright!" The phone had already hung up. He reached the house and went inside where Candace and Phineas were waiting.
"Phineas!" Ferb screamed, "Where have you been?"
"Places, now let's go!" He gripped his hand, and they ran out the door.
