"One question, Care. Why are we in the woods?" Elena asked in a puzzled tone as Caroline dragged her to the woods before the day of their graduation.
"Why? Because I want a rematch," the blonde vampire responds with a smile on her face. "A lighthearted rematch, that is."
"A rematch?"
"Yes, now that you have your humanity turned back on, that is."
It takes a second for Elena to realize why is Caroline pulling this off right now.
"Is it about what I said back in the bar, isn't it?" she realized.
"Yup," the blonde confirmed. "You said you won't apologize to me for all that crap you did because if you do, I'm going to see how you will feel everything. We all get to see how you handle all that. Tell me, Elena. Did I see how you handle all that?"
"Apparently, no," the new vampire answered in honesty.
"See? This is why I'm requesting a rematch with you. I want to see how you feel all that. This is my way to get you to apologize for almost killing me," Caroline said.
"Alright, alright. I see what you're trying to do," Elena smiled as she understood the reason for her blonde best friend to start a rematch. "Since there's no stopping you, I accept your challenge."
The two vampires walked a few inches away from each other to start their lighthearted rematch. Unlike that other night, this fight is for fun.
"Wanna hear what the bet is?" Caroline asked.
"Sure, why not?" Elena agreed.
"If you win, well, I won't get to hear an apology from you for all that you did to me while your humanity was turned off, but at least we're best friends again. However, if you lose, I will get to see how you handle feeling everything you did, and you will apologize to me. Understand, Elena?"
"Yes, I understand, Caroline."
The two stared at each other for a few seconds before each formed a fist with one hand and they start their rematch running to each other with their fists ready to hit the other.
Unlike that other night, they smiled to one another.

I got the idea of the story based from the TV Trope called Lighthearted Rematch. It's about a rematch between two or more characters, and unlike the first time they fought wherein it's serious, they do it for fun with no strings attached. Also, the outcome is rarely shown, so it doesn't matter who will win.
Now for this case, review on who do you think will win.
For me, I think Caroline won, considering that she and Elena are in good terms again in Graduation. Therefore, with her winning, Elena will apologize to her. Also, there's the fact that she isn't on her level as a vampire.
